I've been to Wembley quite a few times and every single time I've had to collect my tickets there. Also dealing with Ticketmaster I've had to collect them for concerts in the UK.

The post which has caused controversy

    I
rang ticketmaster about the Irish tickets. They said that all overseas deliveries has to be collected on the day at the ground. I also asked them does Northern Ireland count as overseas delivery and he said yeah it does but i know people in Northern Ireland who have already got their tickets!!!

He told me to bring ID coz i have no credit card and the confirmation emails for the tickets.

Also i asked him about people who didnt use their own credit cards to get tickets. First he said the card holder will have to go to England to get the tickets for u???? TRAVEL TO ENGLAND TO COLLECT THE TICKETS AND THEN GO HOME??? HAHAHA THEY REALLY ARE A JOKE.
Then they said it is up to the venue what they accept, bring a letter of authorisation with u from the card holder to say that they will let u collect the tickets. Or u have to get a transfer of that persons credit card into ur name!!!!

I assume the 4.95 delivery fee we paid will get refunded. Also like the other have said cannot believe we didn't get an email in advance telling us about Ticketmaster's change of plans

Well I just called them and the customer service girl said that My tickets had been dispatched on the 3rd of October and if I dont recieve them early next week I can change my order to collect them from the ticket office.

So i guess that post on NFLUK was wrong and us irish fans will be getting them in the post but it could be delayed becuase of the royal mail strikes.

UK people got theirs by courier. I'd have asked for some sort of tracking number

I rrang them twice to call the first guys bluff as he told me i have to collect them then the second said ah no they have been sent out so I called a manager on the third call and he said he didnt know they are fooking idiots and you can expect to hear me on Gerry Ryan on Monday I also contacted the NFL Media in New York waiting on a call back they seemed very concerned about all this. I also contacted sky and Radio 5 live.

Im making a stink as its blatantly obvious they havent a fooking clue and are under pressure.

God they are such incompetent fools, How hard is it to post tickets to ireland via courier. They had no trouble charging us £4.95 per ticket for delivery.

I am going to ring them up today and give out stink anyway.

Then why were we charged for delivery? I dont mind having to collect my tickets, its just the lack of information from ticketmaster that kills me. How hard is it to send an email stating that all non-uk residents would have to collect their tickets from the office on gameday.

There's a booking charge, and a delivery charge. Whenever I've used will call its always been much less than the delivery charge.

And again the price isn't the main gripe, it’s the fact they told us only a few weeks ago to confirm address and have still haven't told us that they won't be delivering them to us.

You're going to need that card.... and more than likely some form of letter or their passport as proof that you know them etc....

Call ticketmaster and explain the situation and they will tell you what you need...

From hank on the nfluk.com forum. He works with NFLUK
Ticketmaster have said that they will not be sending tickets out to people in Ireland.

They will make tickets available instead at Will Call (ticket collection) windows at Wembley from 10am onwards on the day of the game. You can collect your tickets from the West Ticket office at Wembley, which is on the right of the Bobby Moore statue. If you come up Wembley Way and turn right, it is signed from there.

They will be sending an email out within the next 48 hours to everybody who needs to collect their tickets via this method, with full directions and any other details you will need.

Ticketmaster are a bunch of morons and you will hear me on Gerry Ryan tomorrow and on Radio 1 in the uk later in the day until ticketmaster admit fault.

They basically told me that you go along to the event with a copy of the persons ID and a letter explaining they purchased the tickets and "YOU SHOULD" get your tickets. I asked him was that a gaurantee an he said "NO" as it is down to Wembley stadium. So now as it turns out Ticketmaster have bailed on us paddys and our faith lies in the hands of Wembley stadium.

Time to ring ticketmaster methinks... I'm screwed if you need a credit card to claim tickets...

Hey, so i rang ticketmaster there, eventually got through to the right person (the woman in Dublin nearly screamed at me when telling me i have the wrong number, ring england, blah blah blah)

    Anyways, here's what he said:

The tickets will be posted out(well mine at least) but if they do not come by Friday of next week i'm to ring them again. If that happens they will issue duplicate tickets for me to collect at stadium.

If i have to collect at stadium, there's more fun. I bought tickets with my parents credit card (i'm a poor student, can't afford a credit card) so i can't bring the card with me. What i'll have to do is bring a letter from my mother with name, address, telephone number, ticket ref. number, the name of collector, what type of i.d. being used etc. Then i need to bring that letter along with my passport (or driving licence etc.) to get the tickets...

Just thought i'd make people aware... People might want to ring ticketmaster themselves, see if their tickets are being sent... (00448701 535 353)

Just rang them myself and they gave me the same info. If they dont arrive by thursday or Friday, I should call them and collect duplicates at the stadium...

    Huh:confused:

It says this on my TM account
Your tickets will be held at the venue collection point. Please see the relevant venue page for more details

There must be a ton of contrasting information being sent around because when I called them yesterday they said I had to collect them at wembley Stadium

90% guarantee dulpit was fed sh*t by TM they have been telling different stories all week. At the end of it he will most likely have to collect at the venue.

I'm thinking that alright... My worry was about collecting them without credit card, not haveing to actually collect them... (plus it's an excuse to be at stadium even earlier... :D)

Email from NFL Uk on the 19th-
With the NFL International Series match less than two weeks away, we would like to take this opportunity to outline the procedures for ticket collection.

All customers outside of Britain (England, Scotland & Wales) have had their have had their tickets set aside for collection at Wembley Stadium. Due to the strict no-duplication policy at Wembley Stadium and the recent industrial action at Royal Mail, the NFL and Ticketmaster could not take the chance that your tickets might not have been delivered in time for the match. Therefore your tickets will be held for collection at Wembley Stadium.

If you selected the Special Delivery option, Ticketmaster will refund the difference between that cost and the standard collection fee of £2.

All general public ticket collections will be from the West Ticket Office at Wembley Stadium from 10:00 the morning of the match. Please bring a copy of the Ticketmaster order confirmation email and the credit card used to make the purchase. There are significant numbers collections, so we strongly urge you to come as early as possible to collect your tickets. If you are getting another person to collect your tickets, please ensure you have provided that person with a Letter of Authorisation that will allow them to collect.

A standard Letter of Authorisation should contain the following:

    - Full name and address of customer booking tickets
    - Customer's telephone number
    - Ticketmaster Reference Number
    - Event Name
    - Event Date
    - Venue
    - Number of tickets purchased
    - Name of person collecting tickets
    - Details of type of ID that the person collecting the tickets will provide when they are collecting
    - Last 4 digits of the payment card used to make the booking

    NB
    - The person collecting the tickets should bring the ID specified in the letter

The thing that pisses me off is that about 20k people will be heading to Wembley to collect tickets, why the hell can they not have it open on the Friday and Saturday aswell to reduce congestion on the Sunday.
    Still cant wait though

Maybe it will be. Give Wembley a ring. The NFL might have only given the times for Sunday.

On a different topic from the tickets debacle, they've announced the entertainment for the game...

Apparently we'll be treated to the feeling (wow) before the game, and some marching band at half time...

    (article here)

    Anyone else underwhelmed by this?

Couldn't give a toss really. HT is only 15 minutes so can't do anythign major.

It obviously doens't have the budget of, say, the Superbowl so you were never going to get Prince. Just glad they didn't go with Spice Girls (as rumoured)

Doubt it... Dolphins suck so bad, an iafl team could give them a run...

Now cork admirals versus miami dolphins, that could be a contest... :D

    In short, giants blow out...

One of the recent articles on the nfllondon2007.com site said they expect about international 10,000 fans and a few thousand of those are US fans who already got their tickets so it might not take too long to collect tickets but you should get there early.
