you have to ask them to exempt you from the 3 item limit if you've less than 5 feedback points. the shipping is kind of annoyin allright its basically adding the "standard international flatrate cost" of every single item your wanting to buy together and gets expensive very quickly [its always worth it though]
if your adding a gun you the shipping cost might be an extra 10$ or so

Yeah whenever I order stuff I always ignore the postal charge on each item thinking

"ah sure i'm ordering all together, it cant cost that much"

But it does! Still though, over all it still works out a lot cheaper then anywhere else.

they make their moneys on shipping im sure of it. 99 cent for a speedloader and its still going be an extra $5 ontop of your delivery cost no matter how many guns and items ya order with it, its awfully annoying, ahh but i love them realy :D

I need one due to putting it down somewhere in Predator and forgetting to pick it up :D

Thankfully I have a tac vest now. So no more fumbling about coat pockets.

    Here you go

    http://cgi.ebay.com/SAS-SDU-LEVEL-3-Tactical-Assault-Hunting-Vest-VT-14-BK_W0QQitemZ270077228258QQihZ017QQcategoryZ137007QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem

Cant add anything else to it. But it's only $20! Seems decently made too. I was well happy that you can fit two Mac mags in it.

Just checked and the two rifle mag pouches fit two mags each. So that's four rifle mags. Two mac 11 type pouches. So that'd fit four of them. Then there are two small pistol pouches. So that's another 4 pistol mags. Not that i'd ever actually be carrying all of that!

Red Dot Laser Sight? Is it a red dot or a laser sight? Two different things. You check for a battery?

A red dot is a laser sight, you sight with it don't you. Besides thats what it called on the box. The batteries came with it. It only has two Alan ports for ajusting the beam, just doesn't come on

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 960 ✭✭✭Harekin

Actually a red dot is different to a laser sight, its a scope with basically just an illuminated reticle. A laser sight is something which projects a dot onto a target.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,314 ✭✭✭Fiach Dubh

    Laser sight

The laser has in most military applications been used as a tool to enhance the targeting of other weapon systems. For example, a laser sight is a small, usually visible-light laser placed on a handgun or rifle aligned to emit a beam parallel to the barrel. Since a laser beam typically has low divergence, the laser light appears as a small spot even at long distances; the user simply places the spot on the desired target and the barrel of the gun is aligned. Recent studies (2001) have shown that laser sight has become an effective deterring tool for law enforcement. Criminals are more likely to surrender without resistance when they find a red laser dot on their chest.

Most laser sights utilize a red (670–633 nm) diode, with the 633–635 nm diodes being an estimated 10 times as bright as their 670 nm counterparts. Some laser sights used an infrared diode, which produced a dot invisible to the naked human eye, but would show up when special optics were employed by the user. In the late 1990s, green DPSS laser sights (532 nm) became available.

Modern laser sights are so small that they can be installed below the barrel as part of the gun, instead of being a separate attachment. Some laser sights, such as ones produced by LaserMax, are actually integrated into a unit that replaces the entire guide rod of a pistol, thus adding no bulk to the weapon. Others, like Crimson Trace Lasergrips, are built into the grip so that activation is automatic whenever the weapon is held.

What you are talking about is a red-dot sight or electro-optical sight. Laser sights are a beam emitting diode. It's a common mistake.

eh, harekin was saying that, okay, it was less techie but thats what he was saying.....???????

Yeah it is infact you who are wrong, quote what you will I dont care. A red dot sight is one which projects an image onto a piece of glass which as I said is basically a glowing crosshair (although mine has 4 reticles to choose from). A laser sight is one which projects a dot onto the enemy. Did you not read my last post?

How long did that order take to get here? I'm trying to figure out how long ehobby orders take minus a gun in the package. So far it seems to be much longer.

Okay, seems they must just take ages sending out rifle bags and holsters

What a weird coincidence, one of my sisters just walked into the room and handed me a package containing my rifle bag.

It's actually the 31 inch dual case. I think the smaller second pouch is 28 inches. I bought a small one as it fit my Famas perfectly.

Starting to think I may have made a mistake though. Would have like to have brought my Sniper rifle up with me too.

It seems to be a great case for the price. Lots of pockets. Pretty durable material. N.O.I.P had the larger one up the other night and it just about fit his G3

Do you live about Dublin? I'm starting to think with the BFSL guy selling green gas, there's probably no point in buying the propane adapter (sorry Scope!)

Although. How much does your average bottle of propane cost where you're buying them? Comparable to green gas prices?

No. You need to purchase a battery and or charger separately.
