Can I just point out here that any rentals attending will have to be cleared with the Predator staff prior to going up to assure there is guns, clothes and protection for them.

That I was unaware of. So you can't just go up on the day and rent one out without prior notification? hmmm. Going to have to ring them up when we have numbers and sort something out.

Im not gonna have a case to hold all my guns and i dont fancy walking through town with the m15 over my shoulder. Plus i may be going on the piss-up afterwards so i dont think i'll be getting the bus.

Have we to pay any kind of deposit or anything? I know it's called a "walk-on" game, but do we not have to let them know how many will be coming? What if like 100 turn up?

What exactly did ye fellas bring last time? I'm afraid I'll forget something! What I'm thinking is:
- AEG
- 2x clips
- BB's (these don't have to be biodegradeable, do they?)
- Safety goggles
- Clothing (should I bring a change of clothes or what? Also, in pics of Predator, everyone appears to be wearing camo gear; is that given for free for the day? It was for the last time I went paintballing (not in Pred), but just wanna check!))
- Money (how much is needed? eg. might have to buy ammo, might have to rent something)

Does anyone want to volunteer to handle the minibus, and how do we pay them? Any deposits necessary for the bus or for the event?

Lots of questions, but I'm sure lots of n00bs like myself are wondering them!

I brought my P90,
3 mags(2 low and one high),
M92f,
2 mags,
Gas,
2 Batteries,
About 4000 bb's,
My DPM's,
My Goggles (although I forgot to defog it before I left so I ended up wearing a full face mask I got up there)
I brought €50 and got it changed up there,
Walk on fee is £15 and Grenades/smokes are £2.50

This time Ill be adding hopefully a laser and a nice
Molle vest to the above list(presuming they arrive by then) and Ill be adding my DPM pistol holster and drop leg P90 mag holder (which I have both of already).

As for the camo gear, they have some up there alright. But by the looks of it, you'd probably want to get your own.

N.O.I.P is trying to sort out the minibus. Its going to be a money up front thing as we don't want people not turning up on the day and then bumping the price up for everyone else. Not sure how that's going to be sorted out though.

Good to see so many of you making the effort to come up to this!

Rental fee at Predator is £30 ( €45? )
And as Harekin said, for walk-ons, it's £15 ( €23? )
Can't recall how much they sell ammo for as I always bring my own, but it shouldn't be that much! Cheaper than paintball ammo anyway!

As Harekin also said, you need to phone them up in advance to secure a rental gun and as this shoot is likely to be extremely popular, it's fairly likely that they'll all be booked up by the 3rd, so if you haven't phoned them to 'pre-book' rental guns then it's unlikely there'll be one if you just turn up on the day expecting one!
If any of you decide to go at the last minute and there's no rental guns left, try posting over on ASI and it's likely some kindly souls will loan you one.

Stuff that isn't on your list of things to bring:
- LUNCH! Be sure to bring plenty as it's hungry work! There's a small shop a few miles down the road if you need anything and it has a cash machine.
Most ROI cashcards should work fine in the cash machines up here.

- Drinks! You'll need plenty of fluids! Predator only sell bottles of water. Tea & coffee is free though.

- Decent boots that you dont' mind getting muddy / wet!

- A Change of clothes!

- Camera!

- Batteries for it! :P

Wow,this sounds like fun I might be able to join yez someday when I have a job and money to afford it all! It looks like a good course up there by the pics I have seen,pity its a bit far away. Is there anywhere down South that does it?

And do they only allow AEG's in these skirmishes? or can you use gas pistols. just curious.

There's no site in the Republic just yet (but one or two are in the process of being set up).

They allow gas pistols, yep -- but I'd think about renting an AEG if you're gonna go to a skirmish, or else you'll get your ass kicked!

Is it too late to jump on the bandwagon, i've an AEG, AEP, mags & goggles, but no camo, would it be too late to arrange a rental of camo and a seat on the magic bus. and with regards to the camo would you get a tactical vest or holster, i don't fancy having to carry what little i have in my hands.

A pair of jeans and a jumper will do you if there green/brown/black if your stuck for gear and no, they dont include a vest or a holster in rentals but im sure somebody will lone you one. i'd lone mine only i just sold it.
You will need your own boots though.

Are you wearing glasses are big goggles? If they're not sealed to your face and you're not wearing a mask then they shouldnt fog up. I'm not sure about camo gear. I doubt you'd have to ring ahead for that? hmmm.

Id ring ahead just in case. with between 60-100 people expected, there will be a fair few rentals there so ensure you get one.
