    hello all,
i'm trying to find a replacement penta for our sigma. what we have at the moment is an md7a 2 cylinder 13hp. would anyone out there know what other pentas would be a straight forward swap? a power upgrade wouldn't be a bad thing for us.
maybe you know of someone who deals in inboard diesels?
    thanks

Try the UK sites, you'll find one at a decent price. You might need new engine mounts, not too sure abou the lower HP's

Should be basic enough if your any good at DIY

There is a Penta dealer in the malahide marina.

You'll need to make sure the shaft aligns correctly aswell as the engine mounts. Ask around a bit more and I'm sure you'll get something that fits the bill. Remember that there's no point going for too much extra power if the boat can already meet hull speed. You will also want to check the pitch of the prop if the engines power band is different for cruising.
