Has anyone here actually personally imported a bigger motor cruiser (26'ish feet plus), from Florida or any point on the eastern seaboard of the US of A?
It seems to be a great place to buy a boat (not withstanding the lack of a CE mark).
Could you please give me a moment of your time and PM me with details of your own importation story??

    Thanks in advance...
    Regards, V300 Graham.

i dont know anyone who has ventured so far. There was talk on powerboat.ie about importing from the uk without any hassel. There was also a post about importing from the US of A! but it was clamped due to other sites being qouted. Put a post up there and they'll all have a view..

If it was me.. i'd advise buy local or the UK if your spending big money you want to see it in the water working and be close to the seller to bring it back incase of any faults.. I think the US prices are low but the duty is a killer. But i could be wrong. Theres a contat re: duties & taxes etc in the link below..

    v300 - Check-out my post here: http://www.powerboat.ie/forums/showthread.php?t=705

My Panther is for sale (See my sig below), at a price for less than I paid for it (Surprisingly! - Most people importing from the UK try to make profit, I just want a RIB!)

Currently the cheapest diesel Sports Cuddy of it's condition/age in the UK/Ireland (From what I could find anyhow)
