Devouring Greed - Rulecheck

Hey guys. I'm new to the game and was hoping for a rulecheck on Decouring Greed.
It's and Arcane Sorcery and reads:
"As an additional cost to play Devouring Greed, you may sacrifice any number of Spirits.
Target player loses 2 life plus 2 life for each Spirit sacrificed this way. You gain that much life."

Now this may be a silly qustion, but could someone define "any number of Spirits"? Does this only include Spirits under the control of the player playing Devouring Greed, or does it also include Spirits belonging to other players. This turned into an almost voilent row during a 6-way multiplayer!

Also does anyone know where I can order an Unglued, Unlimited or Unhinged starter deck?

And...If anyone out there wants a game in the Killarney there are 7 of us in an around that area who get togethor to play from time to time so give me a shout.

    To answer your first question,
the player who is playing the spell can only sacrifice creatures that s/he controls.

Any number of spirits is any number of spirits that the player casting the spell controls, up to a maximum of the number of spirits they control.

So no, you cannot sacrifice other players permanents, at all, ever. You can make them sacrifice though, which is always fun :)

As for unglued, unlimited or unhinged, I think you would have a hard time getting any cards from those sets these days let alone starter decks. They are considered very collectable and were not printed that much either, as far as I remember. Perhaps the two are not mutually exclusive...

And I'd love to play with you guys, but I'm based in dublin and when I am in kerry I'm in waterville, miles away :(
