    I've a punch bag out the bag garden off a tree but it's not ideal out there this time of year. I was thinking about getting one of these Are they any good?

    yea very good site

    I used a free standing one in a gym in spain. not the best compared to a hanging one.(the bulge at the bottom, the move easier so you don't really connect as cleanly as you'd like) but sufficient if needs be.

    For building muscle? Not really as its not like the weight increases each time you train. It is brilliant for conditioning though. You sweat like a beast after a few rounds on the bag.
