Advice on connecting Ipod to car stereo

    Hi all,

    I did a search on this but I'm still confused (thick would be the proper word ha ha)

    I got an early xmas present of an ipod 80gb and I need to connect it to my car.

    I have a 03 Astra with the normal car stereo cd player with steering wheel controls.

    Can I get a connection for the ipod to the stereo that will allow me to use the steering wheel controls. I bought one of those radio signal connectors but I'll either crash the car or get arrested because I still have to pick up the ipod to change the song iykwim.

    I will also need a cradle or can I just put the ipod in the glove box (i saw something in the search I did about this)

    Last question. Is there someplace in Cork or Waterford that sell these as I am in Cork tomorrow and in Waterford at the weekend so I could pick one up.

    All advice is greatly appreciated. You've probably guessed that this is my first mp3 player and I have'nt a clue.
