Are you an Irish Devil (NickOD?)

ok sorry ...Q1. Do you think Poker is responsible for the somewhat leveling of the growth of golf in recent years (just an opinion, I know you couldn't possibly know)
Q2. What are the most irritating things you've seen at the poker tables
Q3.If online poker got BANNED what effect would it have on you.
Q4. Do you think singing in a karioke bar on broadway entitles one to brag to your mates 'I sang on broadway'
Q5 Are you worried about opening a cub in Ennis, I mean they are savage over there , you should open a funeral parlour next door.
Q6 Who would be your ideal final table at the WSOP to play against if you had to pick (for this question please only state Pros)
    6 b Pick any 10 you like.
Now have a wee cup of Tea.

Thanks for your time Dude! These Q& As are a great idea.

Sounds like a very logical reason. Poker has definitely been responsible for the decline in other hobbies too, particularly snooker.

There is a guy who used to come into the Gold Club in Limerick who was the slowest player I have ever seen. I mean when it was limped into his BB, he would look around the table, look back at his cards, reach for chips, play with them, look back at his cards, scratch his head, frown, play with his chips again, look around the table again, look back at his cards, change them around so that one card is in front of the other, go back to playing with his chips, look around the table again, then after the dealer says, "you can just check" he would look back at his cards, scratch his head, frown again, play with his chips, look around the table... ARE YOU ANNOYED YET???

One other thing that really irritates me, and I'm seeing it again in the club in Ennis now, is this sillly buggers **** at a showdown. "Please show your hands" Then one guy slowly turns over one cards, The guy at the other end of the table says "What's that?" then, turns over one of his cards. Then I say "please show 2 cards" They still don't want to show their other card. "Ok, fine, I'll take the pot then" (I'm the dealer). Then eventually one player shows the other card and the other mucks. Really annoying.

I think I'd be ok. It would be great for poker rooms. If I wans't working in the club I'd probably be able to find live games to live off but I would find it tough to spend long nights in the company of people I might not like very much or around drunk smelly people.

    Yes definitely.

lol! Actually one thing I noticed about the Pokerevents games in Limerick was that the better players are actually from Shannon/Ennis and the surrounding areas, so I think it will be a club full of very strong and intelligent poker players.

Well the ideal table would have to be pros that I don't rate then, wouldn't it? I mean I don't want the likes of Ivey or Negreanu there.

So here is a list of 8 pros I think I would pwn. They might not necesarily be bad players but I think I would play very well against them. I would include Jamie Gold, but he's not a pro.

    Scott Fischmann
    TJ Cloutier
    Tom McEvoy
    Mike Cairo
    Josh Arieh
    Mark Gregorich
    Layne Flack
    Kirsty Gazes

If poker were to have a Ryder cup and you were made Captain of the European team. Who would you pick and why? [Name 10]

Will Omaha Tournaments ever take off in the way Hold 'em tournaments have?

Mr Kingston's accent went down very well with the ladies of Scarborough. Miss Coren is single as far as I know. Does Dave have a chance?

Wow that would be really dificult. It's ridiculous how many great players I would have to leave out. In terms of curretn form, experience and consistency I would go for this team. There are a lot of players I could pick ahead of Thorssen but having watched him play up close I think he is frighteningly good. I know someone is going to back to me and ask "how could you leave X out?" I cooul probably come up with an equally brilliant team tomorrow with 10 different names.

    Surinder Sunar
    Julian Gardner
    Juha Helppi
    William Thorssen
    Donocha O'Dea
    Roland De Wolfe
    David ColcClough
    Rob Hollink
    Patrik Antonius
    Luca Pagano

The WSOP Omaha event that was televised this year was really good. I think it will definitely get more popular but it will never take over holdem. Omaha is more of a specialist game and donkeys don't do so well in it. It's much harder to luckbox your way through large fields in Omaha.

Sure, why not. You see really hot women with ugly gits all the time. :D
Yes, as you may have guessed I have a huge crush on Vicky C. I think it's the posh English accent that does it.

    Nice answers.

Q1. Have you ever asked Vicky C out on a date ?
Q2. If the answer to 1 is no, then why not ? Would you be happy to go through life thinking "why didn't I"
Q3. Whats the biggest pot you got rivered for (may have been answered, if so ignore)
Q4. Why don't polar bears eat penguins (and its not cos they taste like ****) ?

Surprisingly the answer is no I haven't.

Well. At Jessy May's part yin Vegas I was too "tired and emotional" to do much at all really, and at the Dublin EPT she was the first player knocked out so it probably wouldn't have been a good time. :)

I don't think I'd lose any sleep over not taking the oportunity to ask Vicky out, because I'd probably crash and burn pretty badly, and when I say crash and burn I mean it literally might go so badly that I'd self combust. That's the sort of luck I've had with women.

Funnily enough I can't really remember one. I do remember a lot of pots where the card came on the turn when I've been all in on the flop or had most of my stack in the middle but I can't remember any huge cash game pots where I was rivered. My worst beat I took on the river in a tournament was the 800 IPT even in June where I was all in on J-T-X flop with TT against Queens and he rivered his 2 outer. That pot would have made me one of the chip leaders and there was a big deal done at the final table where I think at least 6 players cashed for 5 figures. that was probably the most costly river card I can remember.

Doin't they live in different hemispheres? I think that would be a problem. Penguins are from Antactica and Polar bears are only found in arctic region of North America. Something just dawned on me actually. If that's true then there are a lot of childrens cartoons that are factually incorrect. :)

I would have included him if I hadn't seen the way he played in a recent episode of Late night poker masters where he was rubbish.

I can answer the polar bear Penguin question... It's because they can't get the wrappers off.

What is it about TJ Cloutier that you don't rate

I don't think he can fold top pair. I've also see him do some very strange things like raise with AJ and then check-call on on on a paired board. I also don't like anyone who check raises all in on a flush draw every time they flop a flush draw is much of a poker player.

What is the best craic you have had playing poker

I had some fun cash games at the Gold Club. I remember the night before I went to Vienna I won my buy in for the main event in about 4 hours in a 1-2 game (over $2,000). The tournament I cashed in at Caesers was great fun also because it was such a crapshoot and everyone was in a giddy gambling mood. At the final table everyone was doing Jager bombers. The staff at Caesers were great too, especially the poker room manager. I think the WSOP will be noticably better run next year as long as the staff at Caesers are heavily involved and its not just the assholes Harrahs.

I had a lot of fun in the Orleans cash games too, because the Americans are so easy to needle and put on tilt. One of the biggest pots I won in Vegas was with 6-2 suited which I cracked Kings with. I was into double figures in both beers and dacaris at the time, and because the highest chip value in those games is $5 and I had about $1500 in front of me I kept my beer on top of my chip stack. The americans were not impressed.

Will you distinguish you poker br from your fun br in future trips to vegas

I sure hope so. I'll certainly try.
