Pimp my Diet

    Hey all,

I have been lifting now for about 6 weeks and have been loving it. I am trying to gain some more lean muscle mass (aint we all :p )

After thoroughly reading the weight gain sticky I have a few questions about diet. More specifically about gym times and types of food to eat

Ok so working on g'ems calorie calculator I need about 3331 calories a day if I want to gain weight. Thats a 77kg 23 year old male who has a desk job and lifts weights 4 hours a week.

Going on t-ha's breakdown that's about 458 grams of carbs, 83 grams of fat and 247 grams of protein a day. I have no problem with this either as I am a hound and love my food.

Broken into 6 meals a day this looks like

8am Breakfast: 42 grams of protein, 120 grams of carbs and 10 grams of fat

10am second brekky: 42 grams of protein, 110 grams of carbs and 15 gram fat

1pm Lunch: 42 grams of protein, 100 grams carbs, 10 grams fat.

3.30pm afternoon: 42 grams of protein, 90 grams carbs, 20 grams fat

6pm GYM: here i lift the weights. Generally have a post workout shake.

8pm Dinner: 42 grams protein, 20 grams carbs, 20 grams fat

    10pm Pre-bed snack: 42 grams protein, 10 grams carbs, 10 grams fat.

Ok so there is what I am aiming for. Can you guys please review this and comment on it.

    I have 3 main questions.

    1) Am i eating enough carbs after the gym
    2) can you suggest what to eat for my meals.
3)Ideally what should be in the post workout shake, fast absorbving protein (whey) and something that gives me a insulin spike (glucose?)?

My next task is to see what exactly is 10, 20 or 100 grams of carbs portion wise, Is it like a cup of pasta or a 2 new spuds.

    Thanks for all your help

Don't worry bout it man, you guys have lives too. I know the story

I just want to know am I doing things right before i go and stock the fridge at home.

My diet is currently very lacking at the 10am second brekky and the 3.30pm slot also. I want to know what can I make at home the night before and bring to work that will sort out my needs as outlined above.

I am sh1te when it comes to picking foods
