Even if you ignore the above I don't think its a valid point that someone without local knowledge dilutes the value of thread on a local issue. often that perspective is very informative.

If you are going to start a contentious thread, especially in feedback, you'd want to be able to argue your point and punch above experienced posters to get over the inevitable noise, especially in feedback and especially with mods. Theres always a danger of being misinterpreted if you post woolly comments.
In fairness, this thread was started in Afterhours.

After hours/feedback whatever, these are always noisy threads/forums.

If you are going to start a contentious thread, especially in feedback, .....

Wrong. This thread was originally posted in After Hours, with apologies if it was not the correct area for the discussion being launched. Mods , or some one else, transported it into Feedback.

Just though I would point that out. Hope I don't get as much dogs abuse as OP.

You're ability to miss the point, 30 mins too late, is duly noted. :)

The last straw was the night time boys Roundymooney and RB IE ...I know that many of you will be delighted that you slapped down the uppity little newbie, and I hope I have managed to bring some light into your pathetic little lives...

I feel I should correct this misnomer, before some construe it as fact.

You had ample opportunity to correct, and I'm being very charitable here, any breakdowns in communication that may have resulted from your original, vague meandering concern as to the nationality of boardsie mods and users.

Why not take the opportunity to do this now? The whole pwned issue arose, if you read back through the thread, from an extremely detailed response from a poster to this thread, a response you chose to ignore completely, in favour of moaning about what was happening on the sidelines.

We get a lot of bigots here, and some of us are, shall we say a little jaded by the inevitability of that fact.

DeVore, one of the owners of this site, has offered to hear your concerns and assess their worth, and he's not the only one to have made such a request.

Whether you respond or not is up to you.

dissed by the huge array of pedants and malcontents who are more intent on personal attacks
    juvenile **** stirrers.
    pathetic little lives.

Tbh, the only person dishing out personal attacks in this thread has been you. Noone else has resorted to this idiotic and utterly immature way of responding to anothers post in this thread.
There's a general rule here on Boards, 'Attack the post, not the poster'.
The last straw was the night time boys Roundymooney and RB IE with their "Pansy Potter is owned" ****, and the subsequent response from someone about "the competitive environment within the strict rules of the game".

LOL. Last Straw eh? Then what? You'll throw another hissy fit and throw out a few more petty little insults?OH TEH NO!
With the bombardment I have been receiving I just can't keep up.

So, you expressed your opinion, had a hissy fit when others disagreed and now you're conceding because your points don't have the backup to support them?
You weren't bombarded with anything, you were faced with opposing views to your own (as you will many, many times here on Boards...unless you're a sheep). You were unable to support your side of the argument, dished out a few pathetic little insults towards other members and now you're um, quitting the argument? You can only blame yourself.
From now on I'm going to be a good well behaved little boardsie and become a spectator rather than a participant. I don't need this ****.

So you're not going to participate out of fear that others may disagree with your opinion/view/statements? Thats pretty weak tbh, but your choice.
I know that many of you will be delighted that you slapped down the uppity little newbie, and I hope I have managed to bring some light into your pathetic little lives.

Insults will get you nowhere. Saying people have pathetic lives purely because they disagree with you? Wow, how ignorant.

Aye, and I'd suggest Pansy Potter does take time to respond to DeV's response in this thread.

Pansy Potter, a well known Irish name.

Anyway, Boards.ie is Irish in a way that if you can't see straight off nobody will be able to explain it to you.
    It's as Irish as..
An Australian beachbum whose great grandfather was a horse thief.
    A French Brandy named Hennessy.
    An Englishman who defeated Napoleon.
The 31 Irish born soldiers who died with Custer at The Little Big Horn.
Cadbury's Irish Rose Chocolates regardless of what you call them.
    JFK.
A black beer brewed by an English gentleman.

A connection for Irish people all over the globe to the land of their birth, either real or adopted.

Now if a few other nationalities are attracted to our natural sense of modesty, understatement and self depreciation who are we to turn them away?

To put a spin on your "inane" response, it is sunny and rainy in different places at different times. Maybe when it's raining in Pansy's garden it is sunny in everyone elses - hence the differences of opinion.

I'd imagine a weather system localised to one garden would raise a few eyebrows on the weather forum. Similiarly as you can see a poster making unsupported claims about the effect of "foreign" mods, is raising a few eyebrows in feedback. Particularly when the poster experience is so at odds with the rest of the users of the site.

    I did acknowledge this

...you are responding to me with what I just questioned the necessity of...

Doesn't mean she recalls which ones

That nice I can claim I saw I just Princess Diana snorting coke of Elvis arse. You can say anuthing She's making a claim about the site that differs wildly from everyone else's experience, after 8 pages would it kill her to give some sort of example?

Post 37 was on foot of the follwing:
Her point was called 'complete tripe'
She was called 'racist', diverted to immigration control, told she 'must be living under a rock. Crawl back under it'

If you doubt the feeling that these posts created, another poster(before 37) says:

"God Almighty, everybody is very touchy. Surely the whole point of boards.ie is that people can come on here and voice their opinion on any subject?
Seems some people have forgotten this."

    So?
Clearly not, but just because we're in cyber space and it's easier to be smart or abusive, doesn't mean we should be. You obviously see it as par for the course and perhaps have no problem assuming the persona.

Tell you what, Today's world aids day, tomorrow can be World Hug a troll day, We'll get t-shirts done up, they'll be a parade, and you can be crowned queen.

Oh right you're finished? Would you mind terribly getting down from there? It's just it's Jesus's go on the cross.

Y'know I'd sympathise with you but you could have sorted this all out ages ago by simply giving an example of what you were on about...

Did I say she lived next door to the other people? A few miles in the difference would sort that one out

    Pansy,

You say you dont have the time to pick out all the reasonable responses from the abuse. Funny that because you had time to pick out and respond to all the abuse from the reasonable replies.

I have no idea what your reply to me was except that it did not answer the points I address.

From this I conclude you are troll and I'm locking this thread.

    DeV.
