just wondering when is the best time to take creatine (as in morning and evening or before or after gym etc). i've never really been sure. also is it necessary to also take protein if your taking creatine and when is best to take it also ????
and should creatine (powder form) be mixed with something like apple juice ?

You should preferably take creatine with glucose, you don't need to eat protein with it also.

As for the timing/loading etc, there's different views, some say post workout with an insuling spike (e.g glucose) others say pre and post workout, there are other views too but they're the ones i've heard most.

Whilst on the subject of creatine folks ive recently started going to the gym again the last 2 months about twice a week and am enjoying it, i bought a box of 700mg Creatine Pills in a health shop in Stephens Green shopping centre there was a sale on taking 6 caplets a day and i do look to be putting a little muscle on,however whilst surfing the net i came across this
    http://www.muscletech.com/FAQ/CREAKIC/creakic_faqs.shtml

Looks very intersting indeed allbeit expensive but how and ever i thought id ask anyone on here have they used this product and if so can they give me some views? And also is it available to buy in Ireland.

    Cheers

No he said it was a health shop!!!!!
It's kinda sad seeing the number of people who get caught up in his marketing a spend a fortune.

OP from what I've heard with Creatine (from a pharmacist) you need to be on a very good diet to start with, with protein it's not as important, although it's obviously helpful. There are also alot more scarey story's on the internet about the side effects of creatine as for protein the worst I have heard is that it can give you flatulance.

From my own experience I've found different things work best for different people, try alternating what you take different months and see which works best for you.

    My two cents....

I used/use Creatine powder, pure mono hydrate form. I have spoken to guys that own shops regarding the drops and they tell me they are the once product thats about 50/50 weather they will work for you or not. Different products work for different people but usually a good product would have about an 80% success rate. So on that basis I'd stick to the powder, however if they work for you then fire ahead.

You are unlikely to find someone who has used Creakic to be honest. Just another bull**** Muscletech product.

If you do a google search on cratine serum and sift through a few pages you should find the results from a court case in New Zealand, you might be amazed what the results are regarding this company. Muscle marketing USA.
