Hoping someone can help me. I'm trying to lose a few ibs and can't seem too.
Basic eating plans are bowl of bran flakes for b/fast odd banana with that. Lunch either Koka Noodles or Brown Pitta bread with scraping of mayo and tuna and then dinner varies, rice/fish/potatoes..

I go to the gym 3 times a week and do 1 hr cardio (only started 1 hr cardio 2wks ago) I go on the x trainer for 20mins level 4/ treadmill 20mins-walk and jog/Bike 20mins level 4. Then sit ups etc.

Haven't lost even 1Ib and I am very disheartened, I am 9stone 10 and 5ft 2 so I would ideally like too be around 9stone.

    Any suggestions??

Agree with DaveIrl, also Rememebr it's about bodyfat, not just weight. While Cardio is not an exercise that will bulk you up, if you aren't used to it, your body will start using, and therefore toning muscles.
Also given that you are already relatively light, any fat loss won't be huge (if it is, you have another problem), so just be patient. I think a spate of these weight loss TV shows have given birth to the idea that a change in diet will have huge and immediate results - it won't, nor should it!

Sorry are you male of female? I presume female.

The bathroom scales is bit of a bastard to be honest. Sometimes they're unreliable and inaccurate sometimes they're spot on. However, at the end of the day they're only taking a snap shot of your body mass and that particular instant.

You're on the right track, good diet, plenty of exercise is the way to go. However, what you need is a lot of patience. I suggest only looking at the scales once/twice a week and try and do it at the same time (first thing in the morning, pre breakfast, post loo).

It's worth noting that if you're doing good work in the gym and eating right during the week, a chinese and a bottle of wine will eradicate any weight loss. Not accusing, just saying.:o

    That's a bit extreme, no?

I agree. There's room for 'cheat meals' in even the most rigorous fitness fanatic's diet. Eating clean 90% of the time (and by that I do mean properly clean) will allow you to indulge of a little bit of what you fancy 10% of the time without having to worry about doing your progress any damage. But that usually results to one meal a week, not one day or one weekend.

Sounds to me like you are under eating. How many cals a day are you eating? If you are not eating enough your body will go into starvation mode and hold onto the fat. Have you read the stickies?
You should be having 5 or 6 balanced meals. Have protein with each, you are definetly not getting enough protein. And keep the carbs to a min except after you do weights.

Cut the Koka Noodles ASAP. Most other things have been covered.

as mentioned we need to know your calorie intake. A bowl of branflakes could be 100kcal or 700kcal.

Koka noodles are about 500kcal per serving! I see people eating them in work for lunch along with fruit and juices yogurt etc convinced they are "dieting", simply because they are not eating total junk food. They are putting away 1000kcal in one sitting!

Thanks a million for all your replies and I'm female for the one who asked!

Defo going too drop the noodles I ate them for lunch every day the other wk thinking I was being good!

TBH not going to starve myself and defo won't be cutting out the alcohol (as it stands I prob only go drinking twice a month and maybe a chipper once a month or that).

Any tips on protein foods? I know eggs (the white part) and chicken but anything else? I don't eat veg unfortunately although I am trying too introduce them. Also is the cold chicken served on a deli counter any good or do you think thats rubbish? Its really the lunch that I find a prob with work and that but I am sure everyone else is the same!

Most meats, nuts, dairy produce, seeds & beans will have a good dose of protein in them.

As for the veggies, a good way to introduce them into your diet is to add them in while you're cooking (if you cook your own food?). For example, yesterday I cooked up a batch of mince beef (the lean stuff) & put 1.5 chopped onion, garlic, a tin of kidney beans, 2 tomatoes and a diced carrot into it. So even before I add any 'veggie' portion to my food there's already a load of it mixed in with the meat & sauce.

Also, look up the stickies, alot of the info relates to losing a bit of blub.
