YUS!!!! Cork gig was the best EVER.

But jebus, those prices are ****ing rediculous!!

    I'll keep my €90 thanks.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,144 ✭✭✭LundiMardi

You know what, it's totally worth it. I don't think i'd ever say that about any act but you will never see a gig as good as this. :)

I saw him in Cork, it was a great gig. Well worth it. Id recommend it, even at 90+ a ticket.
A friend was saying that the reason its so expensive for the ticket is to do with the tax exemptions for artists no longer applying and VAT going on the tickets. Might see an increase in ticket prices again

Does the LC not begin in June? (unless it's changed since I did it in 1986!)

Andy Fairweather Low - that's a blast from the past! :)

I also imagine that tickets are expensive because it sounds like an expensive production with all the bells and whistles. I'm thinking hard about this, a lot of money but it sounds like a good show.

i adore Pink Floyd, and DSOTM is one of my all time favourite albums, but if someone thinks that im going to pay €90+ to see it being preformed live, they can suck my hairy ****in balls.

    Your loss man, your loss...

I'm heading over to Manchester to see his gig there the week before this:D

    100 quid for a ticket!!!
I paid 180 euro for my Roskilde ticket and got to see Roger Waters and 80 other bands, bit of a f*cking rip if you ask me...
Still, its an experience and a half seeing dark side of the moon performed live

Seeing him in cork was the best gig of my life. 90yoyos is just a joke tho. But I'll still go.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 168 ✭✭Jimmy81

Why do tickets have to go on sale now when im totally skint!!

Im assuming that this will sell out fairly lively yeah?

not really. i'll never get to see Pink Floyd, i've accepted that. Live8 was the last fling, i dont ever see them reforming. if they did, then yes, id probably pay the €90, but i can think of better ways to put said money to use.

well if it's any consolation, Nick Mason played at the Cork gig, so at least i got to see half of Floyd:)

Ya see, im not let go to any gigs anymore due to the Leaving. Bit of a contradiction when Im let go out whenever I want though. Im going to one more gig soon enough ,only cos I already have a ticket, but DSOTM live, what a killer to miss. Gonna have to look into foreign dates...he might be at Glastonbury if I go there

Oh that sucks man, last year i was at metallica the night before maths and geography but a whole month before is just ridiculous!

Please lay off the sarcasm, its not fair, believe me, I really wanna go, but no can do. Not even let go to Tool tomorrow :(. Although if I went to a gig the day before Paper 2 of Honours Maths, something along the lines of the fate of jesus would happen me. Sure I might see him somewhere else anyway, its not the end of the world

How many tickets are there for this? I'm guessing it would be safe to leave it a while before buying?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,451 ✭✭✭blastman

I saw him in the Point the last time he played there, on the In The Flesh tour. Great show, but it was only 65 Euro or thereabouts a ticket. An increase of a third in three years or so is a hell of a jump.

Still, as I missed him on Cork this year, I might still be tempted. Can't quite believe tickets are hitting 100 Euro though!

i dont care how much the tickets are i`m still kicking myself for missing him in cork

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,356 ✭✭✭Donegal Lass

im sooooooo going to this...dont care how much they are, it'l be worth it! im sure it'l be ages before he's in Ireland again (if ever). I have the dvd that came with his 'in the flesh' album and if he's anywhere near as good as that, it'l be money well spent! people wouldnt bat an eyelid at going out 2/3 nights at the weekend and spending way more, with only a headache to show for it! Not too expensive when ya think of it that way!!

Got standing tickets. Looks like the seats went pretty quick though I had 3 held and they couldn't process my order on website for some reason! If anyone wants to swap 3 standing for seats let me know.

And yeah its a steep price but will be worth every penny. Roll on May!

I've just got 2 for Block D in the balcony. I'll be taking Mrs Wishbone Ash but she's not a fan. Hopefully there will be a live conversion. :)

PS - I've never been to the Point. :o

woot. I got mine. Why would anyone want sitting ticketS?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,267 ✭✭✭kc66

From the description of the show above it will be the exact same show as in Cork. A bit more variety would be nice.
The Cork show was definitely one of the best concerts I'v seen, power cut and all. He got an amazing reception from the crowd at the end.
Worth €100 imo but still expensive

Us more mature fans like our comforts and. ;) I don't do 'standing'. I think the last concert I stood at was Bowie in Slane (1987). :)

Don't think so, they've been on sale a while, the stockholm gig went on sale at the start of november.

I thought when you said that Manchester and Stockholm will have to do, you meant that you couldn't get tickets.
