well as the title suggests, im trying to find a mac 11 holster. with limited luck. speedytoys have one made by UTG, but they want 30 something for shipping. which is deff a bit on the excessive side for something so light. i thought i'd found one on precision airsoft, put it an order only to have them say they only ship to America.

supposedly a MK23 SOCOM drop leg holster will also work. which i cant find either.
only other option is to buy a sling. but i could imagine this would be annoying while trying to wield another weapon too
was even considering maybe some kind of side bag to put it in. which also would be annoying.

    ideas would be appreciated :D

    www.modelguns.co.uk

They sell replica firearms and equipment. They have a nice chest holster for MAC 10/11.

ah yeah, i ran into that site a little while back. i'm mainly looking for a drop leg holster. if i cant get one, i'll opt for that shoulder one. lets just hope they ship internationally :)

oh wait, thats a chest one. interesting. if you take the mag out it wouldnt be in the way at all.

    nice find

Yep it's very nice, I'll be getting one one when I pick up a MAC. And they will ship to Ireland ;)

have a look at the socom 1 and see if its like the 1 ya read about

    christ that's cheap.
although, its a UHC. the plastic isnt the best quality. would probably blow itself apart on green!
N.O.I.P bought a plastic UHC magnum on speedytoys. was about 27 dollars or so. after being stung with tax etc etc it ended up costing him 75 euro or thereabouts. so yeah, id steer clear from speedytoys from now on. cheap on the site might not work out cheap by the time it gets over here. i'm amazed i got my rifle from them with no added cost at all

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,518 ✭✭✭[--SC(+)PE--]

my god how did it get so expensive? i tought tax was 26% of the cost of the item and that would still be extremely cheap.
The gun works great on green/propane due to its Nbb nature and has had tons of good reviews but if it cost me over 50e i wouldnt get it.

vat, then the importer charged him money for handling. i couldnt believe how much it ended up costing in total. so yeah, stick to ehobby. sure a few quid more and you can have a nice KSC or TM GBB ;)

i have no idea. i wasnt home when the gun came. was in hospital actually. they gave it to a family up the road instead. their kid brought it down to us. oh the horror that could have resulted in

Both of these outfits carry all manner of 'tacticool' stuff, and will deliver to Ireland-
    http://www.islandtactical.com/
    http://www.gunaccessories.com/default.asp

I don't see any holsters specifically for the MAC, but there's a fair amount of 'universal' stuff that could probably be made to work.

ah some excellent holsters on those sites. *bookmark* i reckon its about time i started looking into carrying my stuff. wouldnt mind one of the camelback water carrier things too. although, that's a while off. lots of other things i need first:eek:

someone posted up about using camera pouches for holding magazines in. i cant remember where it was. genius idea. just found one, a pretty decent one too which fits it perfectly. its as if it were designed for that :)

So the drop leg holster I ordered fits my Mac excellently. Its totally adjustable so should fit any hard to holster pistol. only problem is the mag pouch on the front of it is for small pistol magazines. so i'm gonna have to extend that a bit myself. still though, i'm happy :)

Just how awkward is it with the mag installed? Im dying to know ;)

awkward enough not to even consider doing that!
i'm going to have to figure out some sort of pocket for the mag.
overall though it's quite a bit of weight to be carrying on my leg. i suppose i wont know if its a plausible idea till i get out there and start running around with it strapped on.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,518 ✭✭✭[--SC(+)PE--]

hmm you could try 2 find one of those 30 round short mags and store it with that with a few longer ones stored seperately. They are hard 2 come by apparantly.

That's a good idea. I have yet to come across the short ones so far. One thing i always loved about the look of the gun was the huge magazine sticking out of the grip. Ah well, practicality over style!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,518 ✭✭✭[--SC(+)PE--]

Id feel the exact same way m8. It just seems wrong without the long mag but sure it might work. Their very rare apparantly ,i dont even know who makes em. I finaly accepted that im not going to get a mac :o . Ill either get another beretta or possibly the china mp7 which is due out.

What's the deal with buying two of the same gun? something i really really dont get at all.

oh and the mp7 is a hideous yolk! i dont know why people keep buying them

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,518 ✭✭✭[--SC(+)PE--]

  Hideous !!! What foulness is this?? Tis a lovely weapon the only smg that rivals an ingram in that sence . Ah each to their own i suppose.
Well i kinda do want to have a pair of beretta's for some dual wielding madness, Its just handier if their the same

the only advantage the mp7 has over the mac is that its an AEG. But apart from that, its just nasty. Weird looking design. everyone seems to love them though. the mind boggles. I read somewhere Marui were considering an AEG mac down the line. I dont see why not. if they can fit a gearbox in a glock, they can put one in anything.

oh and duel hand guns should just stay in videogames and movies. it has no place in reality!

Thatl be debated til the end of time
And i care not its either an mp7 and a beretta or more likely a brace of berettas :D

Actually, have you figured out how you're going to holster that Beretta? got anything yet?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,518 ✭✭✭[--SC(+)PE--]

Well i bought a shoulder holster from ehobby, this one http://cgi.ebay.com/Shoulder-Pistol-Holster-LH-RH-w-Mag-Pouches-HS-16-OD_W0QQitemZ270059507772QQihZ017QQcategoryZ73967QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem But i find the whole thing akward especially because i was tring to set it up for my left [plan on a belt holstered gun for my right] and ill tell ya its far from ambidextrous like it says. The spare mag part cant physicaly be put on properly when the holster set up for a left hand :( . And its loose when ya lie proned regardless what hand its set for[which id plan 2do alot of] so i just ripped the thing off and plan to get the sister to try and sow it onto a duty belt instead ,Hopefully thatl work  . Im still unsure about my eventual loadout i think the sooner i get to skirmish the sooner ill know alot more about what i want.

i know what you mean. I'm still in two minds about that drop leg holster. It seems like it might be a bit cumbersome. Gotta run around with it strapped on for an hour or so before i can actually decide. Still though, the idea of having that little beast strapped to my leg in case of emergencies is quite reassuring :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,518 ✭✭✭[--SC(+)PE--]

Ya id say ya'd be fine with that. Atleast you'll only be carring 2 guns [actually i could be wrong their am i? :p . I wanna carry 4 like a slow walking arsenal :D so alot of tought needs to go into were to put stuff with such an odd loadout

Yes I'm going to draw the line at two per game. Any more then that seems like it would just get in your way and totally work against you.

*maybe* three. if the third was a small pistol or something. but that would really be pushing it!

Ahh sure the two pistols will be a welcomed burden to carry ;) easy to say i suppose when i havnt skirmished with anything heavier then a tippy 98 paintball marker :o

I can imagine some of the larger guns really bearing down on you after a while. N.O.I.P just got his G3 SG1. Said its about the same length as my sniper rifle. Which is pretty damn long. Wouldnt wanna be lugging that about for three hours.

truth, The shotty sits comfortly on my back and the berettas will be fine once i sort out belt holster but its my primary gun thats likely to be a heavy beast of a rifle its either going be a m14 or possibly a scoped g3 either way shes heavy
