It's a misprint but its in their mag, their gift guide and on their computer systems so grab it while you can.

edit: yes this is the wireless headset for the xbox360.

I think funky means the new wireless headset for talking. The original poster prob means the wireless antenna for connection to xbox live on a wireless network

Next Friday although I think they have some out already in Waterford. Both headsets are priced €19.99 in XtraVision

do you need the official xbox wireless nic or would connecting
the xbox360 to a wireless access point and then "bridging" to the other wireless ap work ? A cheap wireless AP can be gotten for around 50 quid. Or using a bog standard usb wireless adapter ?

I purchased the nic, but my guess is you could also bridge it via an AP there's no real reason why you couldn't.

I should of actually thought of this before, and to make matters worse I have a spare AP in the back of my car.

The only thing about using the AP is that there are a load of wires about, where as that xbox nic is very tidy

went into my local store today and asked about it , they said it should be in thursday / friday and i picked up the mag they had in store and it is marked as €19.99 hopefully the don't fix it by the time they start selling it

Yeah rang one of the stores and the person on the phone said very soon, probaly in the next day or two. Think she said something about the shipment being late and it sounded like they should have been in already...... Will have to keep an eye out for them.

Asked about the price, and they're still €19.99.......;)

Any reviews about? I saw some video one (Maybe joystiq's) but it wasn't great. I have been hearing about constant noise and disconnects and wouldn't mind seeing some more reviews.

Yeah, I saw that this morning, still wondering about just how much that cleans things up though. The disconnects are probably what worries me most.

Anyone tried xtravision again for these? Just rang up my local branch to ask about them and they didn't even know they existed, nevermind when they were going to be in stock.

Just got it in xtravision, its only 20 euro!!!! Just trying it out on live and it seems fine, no sign of any white noise or other problems that were reported about it!!!
