@kinaldo; allowing for the fact that you're a Newcastle fan I can understand you going for your own team to win away but to think that both United and Chelsea will lose tomorrow(as well as Arsenal) is laughable in their current form. :D:D:D:D

I keep thinking a West Ham win would be a good bet this weekend, but then I know if I put any money on that game, Chelsea will go out and robotically win 2-0. Hopefully the Hammers will really go at them.

    Ok, lol! I'll give u a euro...

I always predict a Newcastle win out of blind optimism but in this instance the whole notion is just so ridiculous the only way to save face was putting up the reverse of my actual predictions, if that makes any sense :)

    1-0 City, Corradi.

Goal(s), as ever, will be up at half-time.

PS - I've said it before and I'll say it again, there is no better header of a football in football than Brian McBride.

3-1 Collins John, nice lob. First goal City have conceded at home in 6 months.

Henry is dropped to the bench while Julio Baptista starts his first game for Arsenal, according to SSN.

Looks like 4-1-4-1 with Van Persie on the left, Baptista in attacking midfield and Adebayor as the lone-striker. Interesting.

Great! Been dying to see Baptista in action. Was a big fan of him in his sevilla days, great watching him crash through defenders like a bowling ball through skittles!

I'd say Larsson would at least be on par. I've a 12 minute compilation of 50 Larsson headers on my PC. For such a small player he got the better of a lot of defenders in the air. His diving headers are unique. Hands by the side and just fly. :)

btw - Good sign with Charlton's new manager playing Andy Reid in central midfield. He has been playing behind the striker this season but it must be the first time he has started in the centre of a 4-4-2 at club level.

It's groundhog day at Emirates. Arsenal either score first and win 3-0, or dominate and concede with the opposition's first attack and then struggle. Option #2 today.

Man U have been denied two blatant penalties in the first half. Entertaining first half. Hopefully Man U should finish them off in the second half.

    Good to see.

Arsenal have been all over Newcastle, should have scored by now. Van Persie missed a great chance, and there were questions over a handball in the Newcastle box by Parker. Henry and Walcott are on the bench so at least there are options for the second half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,957 ✭✭✭The Volt

Newcastle playing well this half, good movement.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,203 ✭✭✭Attractive Nun

Fabregas really needs to develop the confidence and/or the ability to shoot at goal more often. He could have this game wrapped up if he wasn't so unselfish in his play outside the box. What a player he would be if he added a Scholes-like ability to shoot from outside the box to his game.

That said, Newcastle are doing well.
