At the moment, I don't know.


Smyths are open 'til 11 pm during the week, in the run up to xmas. So if you stoll in there late on Thurs night, they might let you have a copy(?)

Chances are the street date will be broken on Thursday.. stores don't usually get their copies of new releases until Thursday anyway, so they couldn't sell it even if they wanted to.

Play is processing my preorder as of today. This probably means they have their shipment or are in the process of getting it.
How long does it usually take for delivery from these folks? Any chance of getting it friday morning?

got mine today , all the shops are recieving their copies today and i know someone on the "inside"

playing it for the last two hours, it really really really good. and really quite a tough game at times too.

I've heard another retailer has broken the release date and MS know about it, but still haven't given anyone the go ahead to release before friday.

afaik MS don't have to give any go-ahead at all. if a retailer breaks the release, others can go ahead with the sale of the title because they'll see it as revenue loss. then MS can take it up with the first retailer if they so wish

So I should get it on Monday.

Probably better off. Have to be socialable this weekend with the gf's parents around.

Yes I'm well aware that's how it normally works, but MS DON'T want it released until Friday and in light of the release date breakage they have asked Xtravision not to release it prior to the 17th, don't know about other retailers though.

It has been getting a lot of hype for about a year now, supposedly the 360's killer app until halo 3 comes out. It's a third person shooter if you haven't read anything about it yet. Read the review of it on channel 4 teletext page 307 (itv1 page 807 if you have digital). It will be only up for today. They are fairly hard on games with their reviews and gave it 8/10. Basically said it was a good game and had the best graphics seen on the 360 yet and a decent control system. But nothing new or imaginative in terms of gameplay or story and has about 9 hours of play time in single player mode.

i'v just got finished playing some online co-op and it is great , loving it so far.

playing this on hardcore and it certainly is that. took me a good while to get through the first act but it should considerin there is only 5.

amazing boss thing at the end of the first act.... reminded me of resi 4 for some reason and this is definitely the best game I have played since that.

it has what i want from a shooter.... gore and lots of it while being great at the same time.
