I have Modern Architecture on the 16th in RDS from 12-2.

However, i'm also down for Filíocht an 18ú céad on the 20th from 6-8 but we were told we wouldn't be having an exam... so thats slightly odd.

A number of my friends have three exams in one day. Granted they are 2 hours long, but three law subjects in one day is nasty!

Mine's not too bad. I have the 14th, 15th, 16th, 18th and one more which hasn't been listed yet!

So my timetable was up yesterday, and now it's suspiciously disappeared. Great...

    How'd the complaining go Gushering?

    Cheers Waltons found it

    Don't have 3 exams in a day.
    Got 2 on the 13th, 1 on the 14th,15th,18th and 19th

Mostly evening exams so not too bad i guess.

V, go to SIS, go to information for students, go to registration and look at your student detail schedule.

I would have never of thought of looking there!

    Still not up anywhere else.

I heard that the History dept has made an official complaint about the timetabling of their exams so they might change..

I'd say plenty will change, prob why they're not up bar SIS, + it's well hidden! I heard that some ppl have half an hour between exams in the RDS + Blackrock, n there's stuff clearly iffy with my own, prob won't have our confirmed timetables for a while yet.

Guess who's fully enrolled and registered, but is surprisingly not registered for the semester (huh?)

................which for some reason means I can't access my timetable for the winter exams, Its just a theory but is'nt it amazing how quickly the final Medicine timetables went up, probably because the med students contribute so much to the Uni in International fees, Its a whole lot of bull**** if you ask me, What other people's final year exam's don't count as much???

Called the exams office to see if I could find out some dates but they said they did'nt have a printed copy of any of the the timetables, Any1 else think they're playing the unavoidable technical difficulties card a bit much???

I'm actually now a bit worried about the 3 irish exams that are up since i haven't prepared for them cos we were told we wouldn't be having them.
The secretary said there aren't any but why are they there? Bah this is classic UCD.

For those unaware of the plight of people in 3rd medicine:

All through the semester, we do modules. at the end of each module we do an MCQ. These account for 20% of the module, with the remainder in the written exam at christmas. The date for our last MCQ is November 27th, and we have lectures up until that date. Then we have the break until exam period. At least that's how it normally goes

However, this year, something is seriously amiss. the 27th of november has been scheduled as not only our last MCQ date but also as the date for the written exams of 2 other modules. So that means we have to study for 3 exams in a single day. And these exams are before the actual designated exam period.

So UCD have just made a typo? well, that's what we thought 2 weeks ago when the preliminary timetable was put up and we all joked about it. Now that the definitive one is up we're all sh1tting ourselves. Can UCD do this? normally meds have their exams before most others, but this is ridiculous.

For the moment, all we can do is cram until we get a definite answer.

Did you actually take the time to look at the timetables and see that they have exams this week?

And preferential treatment? I think Matthew VII and my rant will answer that.

Matthew VII, all I can hope is that it's an evil practical joke that they are playing on us and they are going to change it soon. That said after last year's exams I don't trust them at all. For those of ye who don't know (OK everyone else) last year our neuro classes finished on the last Friday of term, we had our MCQ on the Saturday and (with no reading week) on the Monday we had our neuro exam. Then kindly they gave us a day off and we had our three other written exams on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. They don't like us that much! Though granted, at least last year we knew the timetable pretty much by now.

I notice that the two exams you mention are also scheduled for the same time. This seems to be a little bit.....erm.....impossible, even for you. I would take it that this is not the final timetable. I believe your medsoc reps said your provisional timetable would be up at the start of this coming week anyway. Frankly, dismiss these and don't worry so much until you get a proper timetable.

Is it normal to have three exams on one day or is this something that should be reported?

I would report it. Especially if it's your finals.
Two is bearable, but three isn't IMO.

I sent out an e-mail, telling my class to check their timetables. Within two hours i've had three replies. (that's really good for my class:rolleyes: ).
Can anyone tell me if we can do anything if people do have three exams in one day?

Did you not look at the exam period timing in the academic calender which said all exams finished on the 21st?

I like the way you've phrased that Conor. An 8 day long exam, eh? ;)

    Oh right my mistake.

And no Stepherunie, I didn't know all exams were finished on the 21st.I was relying on the date of the 22nd Dec from last year xmas exams as the date I would be finished this year.

    I'm perfectly relaxed.

Just may be of use for Conor rather than hoping that his exams would finish before his flight.
