I dunno whats wrong with me. I used to go the gym like 4 times a week, now I'm lucky if I go once

Stress of college and work must be the prob

Anyway, point is its costin me money so im gna leave, indefinately. I might go back some time but that time 'l prob be sometime next year

I had a program with weights and cardio

As an alternative, im goin back to Tae Kwon Do, which I'll be doin 2 classes a week. Also, and hour of swimmin, and Ill just pick up some weights to work on me biceps

Do ye think that'll keep me in shape? I havent been in TKD since I was like 15, but i remember bein in a jock after the class, but dats a good thing

    Thank you, and goodnight

    hey man,
try a class of muay thai. Lots of high intensity cardio and great fun. I've found it to be much more intensive than TKD.

    My two european cents.

High intensity cardio is high intensity cardio.. whether you do in it in a TKD club or a MT club. The difference in both the contact in sparring.

Best of luck in you TKD training. Keep us posted!

Ok, I'll rephrase. I have found in 100% of cases that the Cardio in a Muay Thai class to be more frequent, and more intense than in any TKD class i have ever attended.

Now I agree, but thats obvious! :p

MT being a full contact and purely a fighting art, with competition to the fore - it will concentrate more on its fighters being fighting fit.

TKD being light contact it also offers good cardio work but will be less intense due to the difference in sparring contact. However it will also pay attention to its artistic side (patterns) which would be a low intensity work out.

Thats the thing with MA's, there's something for everyone! :)
