was traing back yesterday and doing DL's,after my warm up my back felt a bit strained so i stopped doing DL's but even after that when i was loading plates it was a bit sore,i streched it out after my workout etc, this morning its pretty sore, have to tense my abs to bend over properly and its a bit of an uncomfortable pain,i have gotten it before and layed of DL's for a bit so im wondering should i stop them for the forseable future?im not too concerned with them if they are going to make a mess of my back.

    Opinions?

I'm not an expert but as somebody who messed up their back badly from weights I'd recommend you take it very easy with it for the next while

Lower back pain in deads is normally a sign of improper technique or not tensing your abs properly.

Make sure your bracing them properly and keeping an arch in your lower back when you return and maybe drop the weight and really work on getting your technique solid before returning to higher weight.

yeah ill work on it some more for sure, did some stretches tonight and extensions for it,it has worked well, most of the pressure has gone and its just a bit stiff now

I would strongly recommend not doing deadlifts again until you have someone experienced to look at your technique. It's surprisingly easy to damage your back even with light weights if youre using improper technique.
