Freddy Ady (DC United) AML, 2.4 million

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (Ajax) ST, 18million but this was at end of first season so I dont know how much he costs at the start. Goal machine.

Raul Albiol (Valencia) DC/R 17million. Buy of the game. Best Defender in the World after 1 season.

Anthony Vanden Borre (Anderlecht) DR/C 9million. Excellent prospect, already got a 24 million offer from Madrid.

Vincent Kompant (HSV) DC 13million. Another great defender.

Marcelo (Fluminese) DL 9million. Great one for the future. Sent him to a feeder club for a season, came back and walked into my first team and team of the season in Serie A.


Elano (Shaktar) AMRC 9.75 million. Excellent buy. Has displaced Dejan Stankovic as my star midfielder.

I see all these players been named costing 20-odd million. What about the lower leagues? That's where the real action's at.

Get Ricardo Batista from Fulham for nets. Portugal's under 21 keeper with great stats. Kieran McKenna from spurs has excellent creativity and can be got on loan and then for free at the end of the first season. Irish lad Michael Timlin does a great job at left back. Fulham player but can also be gotten on a free.

Oh and Big Dunc Ferguson is a gem to get as he's unattatched at the start of the game and has no qualms about playing in League 2.

I need a secondary right back for liverpool. Finnan is doing great! But he is getting
old and needs to be rested now and then. Ive been looking for a Irish right
back to play this role and possibly replace him in a season or two.

Anyone know any Irish right backs? Don't have to be world class...

Im thinking about Kev Foley right now. Plays for Luton and seen him play a few times.

Two fantastic young French players who will cost nothing if you're a Prem team - Caen keeper Benoit Costil and defender/midfielder Didier Digard.

Also my favourite player to sign (and you'll get him for nothing at the start) is 18 year old Columbian winger Sherman Cardenas. Was amazing in the last one and hasn't changed for this installment. Stats are fantastic.

I am playiing as fulham and bought Nakamura for £4 million, thought it was a good price. And I was offered Chevanton for £2mil, he missed the first 4 matches, and he's scored about 20, top scorer for the club, class!

I bought Michael Mancienne from Chelsea, Giancarlo Adamo and Alessandro Tuia from AC Milan while with Celtic and turned out to be quality, pure quality. Tom Taiwo till develop into a very good midfielder as well.

Jelle van Damme DCL,WBL - Anderlecht @ 1.2 million Euro. The perfect counterpart to vanden Borre.
Olivier Deschadt DCL, WBL - Anderlect @ 2.9 million Euro. Similar to van Damme. Forms part of my Belgian defence.
Marek Stech GK - West Ham Under 18s. Czech under 21s GK at 17. Excellent prospect.
Jordan Spence DC, DM - West Ham Under 18s. Watch him like a hawk. It'll take a season or two for him to show his quality.

Silva from Valencia - can play everywhere across the midfield and becomes a wonderkid.

Gonzalo Higuain - cost me £3.4m but worth 3 times that after the end of my 2nd season. Wonderkid too.

Marcelo and Gareth Bale at left back, alternate these two, Bale is a great dead ball specialist, Marcelo a great attacking full back but in the 7.0.1 patch he's signed for Madrid and joins them after Christmas of the first season.

Denilson from Arsenal - becomes a good DM, scores those long range goals too.

Sherman Cardenas - I sign him everytime I start up a new game - excellent player.

Oscar Ustari - no goalkeeper in the game has stats like those. even Akinfeev, he'll cost £10m but worth it.

Bought Farfan for about 9 million, and he won player of the season for me. Put him in attacking left midfield, and he is brilliant. Also, Theo Janssen is great. Excellent at free kicks.

Rape Juve if you have a bit of money. Chiellini is a must buy. If you have no money buy vechio. Young argentinian/italian who gets fantastic after first season

Nice one, just got him on loan in my first season as Sunderland boss. Not doing so good though lads. 11 wins, 6 draws and 9 defeats. Just barely in the playoff positions.

Any other tips for such a team in the first season of the league?

I think that is down to the size of database you play, and the leagues you select. The bigger the database, the more players are available. It might cause the game to slow down on low-end machines though.
