Ive had elbow probs for a year now, from too much Triceps. Anyway ive tried a lot of things warming, ultrasonic, those gay "elbow socks" or whatever theyre called, physiotherapy and lots of drugs. Nothing really worked.

Then i came upon this in a german workout forum:

    http://www.airbed.ch/tennisarm/behan1.htm#Golf

Scroll down and youl see the english translation.

I started working out again (first time in a year) two days ago. Yesterday my elbow was pretty sore again. Started doing the stretches shown in the link, and suddenly my arm feels quite better. Was in the gym today again, and although my elbow hurt occasionally, after doing the stretches it improved.

    What do you guys think?

What the guy says is broadly correct if you're suffering from tennis elbow. It's a persistent injury and stretching in the way he says will help. In fact without stretching you probably will never clear this injury completely.

I'm a bit wary though of just stretching alone . You should have a few sessions with a physiotherapist - they are very good at mobilising the forearm muscles and breaking up scar tissue.

It's also very important that you strengthen the forearm using wrist curls before you go back to lifting weights/ playing tennis etc otherwise you will probably get a recurrence of the problem
