It cant be right though, surely theres a hitch... like it's only a core xbox, or theres only two games, not four. Sounds to good to be true.

If that offer is with the premium, it is really good. But I got a similar offer in game, premium console, extra wireless contoller, PGR3, Dead Rising, Just cause and the outfit for €499. I taught it was pretty good.

Well I think now - it's available for deposit on the systems so I presume it will be good to go the second GoW hits shelves.

i saw and advertisement in my local xtravision and its available for pre-order.it will probably be available for collection when GOW is released. forgot to check if it was a premium or not.

Virgin have a good deal and so have Argos.

Virgins deal is Prem console, 2nd wireless controller, Pro Evo 6, PGR, Oblivion , Quake all for €449

Argos deal is Prem console, 2nd wired controller, Steering wheel, DVD remote, stand for console, Pro evo 6 and faceplate for console all for €449

Argos is non til 7th November and i think Virgin is just on for this weekend at Liffey Valley. Virgin had an info board on a stand at the entrance to the shop with the offer written on it as a special offer, it looked a very tempting offer.

Thats the only ones stated on the website, but ill still ask later, smyths definatly looks to have a good deal with two controllers and two games.

I know in Argos we do 449.79 for premium, bundle pack of accesories and any game u want.

I was in Xtra Vision earlier and asked them about it.

It's the premium system with the 4 games for €499.

They don't know when they'll have them yet but I pre-booked one!!

Does a HDMI cable and 2 wireless controllers come with the premium system?

There is no HDMI cable for the 360, its comes with a component and composite cable.

I bought an X box 360 premium with extra wireless controller, pro evolution 6 tiger woods 2007 and pgr racing for €469 in Virgin Blanchardstown last friday, this was the best deal I could find in Dublin all last week.......cheers

Yep definitely the full console with hard-drive etc. Seeing as this console with Pro Evo alone is currently retailing for €439.99, three extra games for €60 is pretty class to be honest.

But yes, only one wireless controller.

That's a pretty damn amazing deal. Better than the upcoming Xtravision one (in that you could think of it as being Premium, Pro Evo, Gears, PGR, Oblivion, Quake + Second wireless controller for €520/€525).

Shame it was only on over the weekend in Liffey Valley I may have to keep an eye on the Virgin in Blanchardstown.

oh, that's a mighty-fine price.
Been saying to myself that the 360 hasn't got much to attract me, and probably won't until something like Halo3 comes out.... although I knew GoW would be a good one but not something to really tip the balance in the machine's favour.... that said this price is superb; would certainly book one if I knew I could afford to.

just thought i'd check in with an update. was on the phone earlier to my manager and asked him about it. it's 100% on. you should see signs up in your local xtra-vision now about this...

€499.99 for the 360 premium pack with 4 games (gears, pro evo, splinter cell & PGR). the offer starts friday week (nov 17th - or emergence day ). i've also been told that stock is in no way limited, because 360's haven't exactly been flying out of the stores (hence offer)... but this offer is by far the best i've seen for any console generally, so you're better off putting down a deposit (€100 i think) because they'll be marketing the holy sh1te out of this

It's the premium console and I don't know why people expected a second controller.....

We got the POS (cardboard stands and all that jazz) in wednesday so your local store should have some info on it.

I imagine they can do this because the Xbox 360 will probably have a majory price cut after Christmas, with the PS3 and the Wii being released and the X360 being a year old. Most of the retailers probably know this is coming, maybe they are trying to get rid of full price stock. There are also rumours that Microsoft is going deals with retailers to offer "bundles" at competitive pricing after they said there would not be a price cut before Christmas

So it might be great value compared to what the X360 is now, but whether it is great value with what the X360 will be after Christmas is another issue. If the Prem version drops to €299 (where the Core is now), it isn't actually that amazing a deal, though its still not bad. I've got my Wii pre-order so I think I'm going to hold on for the post-Christmas priced Xbox 360s

I'd rather wait for the xtravision one since it has gears of war but if you dont want to wait and need a second controller then its a similar deal

good deal but both those games are in the xtra-vision deal. so xv gives you 2 extra games (acclaimed splinter cell and brand new gow). of course you don't get the extra controller, but who needs friends when you've got 4 games on your new 360?
