Game editing question

Hey back again :) Just wondering did anyone have any useful guides to implementing different games into the one engine in C++ ? Im hunting sourceforge atm for anything i could use for my project and I'd just like a guide line to keep me ontrack when i go to implement any open-source items i find! Cheers, Dan
