Help me out - tips needed!

    Hey there all,

Okay, so i'm a bit underweight, but it's not cause i'm a bad eater (just have high metabolism - it's not just an urban myth devised by anorexic models). I eat loads every day.

Basically i want to "fill out" a bit, you know, put a bit of muscle on my arms and upper body to get rid of the skinniness and wimpy look.

What I want to know is - what can i do to put some flesh on my body? I'm not going to join a gym or start pumping weights 3 hours a day - i don't want to be a body builder, just put on some weight as healthily as possible.

Could you give me an idea as to the foods i should be eating (baring in mind i'm not some kind of black hole, i can't shovel 2-3 dinners down my throat every day), and some practical, home exercises that don't cost me money!

I'm also interested in protein shakes, i'm a bit wary of powder supplements and so forth, are there any protein shakes made from natural ingredients?

I think that's enough to work on. Help?

whey protein is a by product of the chese making industry, so just how natural are you looking for it to be

For exercises you can do at home, Ross Enemait & Pavel both have pretty good stuff. See the articles on the side bar on this page: http://www.dragondoor.com/pavel_bio.html. There are exercises detailed here too: http://www.rosstraining.com/articles.html

As for food, you're not eating enough. It doesn't matter if you have a friend who is fat that eats less than you, or what the metabolic reason for it is - YOU are not eating enough to put weight YOU. Like JSB said, you can throw your diet up here & get people to look over it - or you can read the stickies to try and get an idea of what foods & how much of them to eat.

In general, try not to leave it to just eating when you are hungry. Know how much you eat each day, and if you aren't putting on weight after a couple of weeks, start eating more each day. Eating enough food is more important right now than taking a protein shake.

Brown bread with (natural) peanut butter, very high in calories but still alright for you (better than wolfing down chips n pizza).
Bananas are fairly high in calories too.

He said it! He finally said it!

This is even better than the time that New Yorker guy said 'Hey douchebag!'...
