    Jeff Tweedy tonight !

Has anybody any idea why he's playing Ireland and nowhere else apart from a festival in Spain in a few days?

It just seems strange to come from US to here and not play London/Glasgow etc

Even if we did have a few members of the crowd wanting to be up on stage.

    Yeah gig was brilliant.

He was very funny as well.

    Highlights were

Misunderstood (because its an awesome song and its not normally in his acoustic set)
Jesus Etc (cool song, crowd clapping along)
Ruling Class(gott alove a song about Jesus smoking crack)
    Radio King

and Jeffs story about Wilco playing Whelans years ago

Prob one of the best gigs this year, cant wait for Wilco, hopefully they'l come in the spring when the new album is apparently released.

Yea was a great show. Radio King was immense. Rumour has it, someone taped it too so that would be sweet.

Fan-bloody-tastic gig. That Whelans gig was legendary too. Where would one get to hear the aforemementioned copy of the gig.

Thought the crowd were a bit too loud but he dealt with them well.

somebody please post a copy of the gig or send directions........ i would die for a copy of jesus etc, im almost scared to ever listen to the full band version again.
my heart ached,Tweedy solo and thoughts of ex-girlfriends what a wonderful way to spend an evening.

    Hey you guys

I recorded most of the gig on my iRiver, from about "Be Patient With Me" on. It sounds pretty damn good overall.

I don't usually record gigs, but this had started to feel like the best gig I'd been to in years, so I wanted a souvenir of it... :)

    Seriously great night.

Unfortunately, being an inexperienced bootlegger, I forgot to keep my mouth shut, so at various points you will hear me-
    1. sing
    2. snigger
    3. ask someone if they want a pint

...oh and there's also the periodic whirring of my iRiver...

    ...but it's worth it!

Very nice. Got sorted there too. Front row of the Block B balcony facing the stage.
It'll be nice to have this to look forward to in the midst of the back-to-work blues after Christmas...

second row, left middle. 11 years since I saw him solo, not counting the gig with his son a couple years ago.

Was away on holiday for tickets... Ended up in row A on the balcony. Can't wait. Last one in hindsight was one of my favourites.
