    hi,
just some quick questions for ye. I would be very gratefull for your opinions.

Im currently about to start back in the gym after about 6 months of footy training on the pitch. I have my programme set out for me for cardio and weights for eash session so im ok for that. I really would just like some advice on what to eat directly after training. i will be having dinner at approx 6 o clok and will be heading to gym at 8.30.
My aim is bulk up and i am working on my diet all the time. Just wondering what i should have immediatelty after weight session really?

Also, i have managed to get my girlfriend to come along too. She does not have any previous fitness level to speak off and has never really used a gymm befor. Her goal at the moment is weight loss. i have convinced her that eating less and exercise is a better option then fad dieting and I think she is finally convinced.
So the question is, what will i get her to do in the gym? I was thinking about just starting her off on the treadmill and cycle to get a basic level of fitness. then hopefull she will be encouraged enough by results to lead her onto the rowing machine with the treadmill, cycle, then starting some light weight sessions etc.

your advice on the above would be much appreciated, i.e what machiines to get her to use, times for each etc..

    cheers

well for after the gym a banana and a protein shake would be a decent start, or if you haven't protein powder a chicken fillet maybe your best bet.

In relation to your girlfriend you might as well start her off on some weights from the start, try and get her to do free weights as oppose to machines though. As building some muscle will help to increse her metabolism helping to make weight loss that bit easier and also start slowly on some of the cardio machines to help increase her overall fitness. however though I would just advise to start her on a programme that she will enjoy as this may make it easier for her to keep it up in the long term and thus giving you a gym buddy for longer.
