muscle cramp

    i got muscle cramp in the muscle in the back of my leg the other day in the gym. what is the best way to make it better? i am in pain :-(

    stretching before and after strenuous exercise will always help you to avoid cramp. and stop moaning the pain could be worse :D

    Yes proper stretching before and after strenuous sets
    Overtrain will also bring on cramps

    Ok there are a few muscles in teh back of your leg but im going to take it that you ment the calf. Most people cramp this muscle because its cold and has a lack of circulation. Stretch properly before doing anything intense. A good calf stretch is to lean against a wall with one leg back and your foot flat pressing your heal into the ground.

    thanks for that advice, i have taken it onboard and will do that in future. it was the calf muscle by the way.
