Wrist problem, alternative to push-ups?

Hey I was wondering if anyone would be able to help us out with this. I tend to do a lot of push-ups because I find they work very well for me but about 7 months ago I had my wrist caught in a cog and and it was injured pretty badly, anyways it's fully healed now, no real pain ect, except when i do push ups, I've been to have it checked by doctor,x-rayed ect they say its ok. So I was wondering if there are any other excercises I could do that work the same muscles as push-ups or another way of doing push-ups that wouldn't put so much strain on my wrist. Or any exercises I can do to strenghten my wrist?

You could try a set of push up handles. About a tenner from Argos and supposed to take a lot of the strain off the wrist

ye I would go with BrianD3's plan and get the press ups handles

I have the argos handles, they would help. They allow you to go much deeper on the way down so you get much more of a workout, similar to letting a barbell touch your chest on a bench when pressing.

Do your press ups on your fists.

You'll find it easier on the wrists and you'll also get stronger because you'll have a greater range of motion in the press ups.
