5 miutes left in the match, two of us went for one ball, knee bent, ankle not fully locked and the ball caught my toe and turned my right ankle and shins out probably 20 degrees more than they normally go, felt slight rip, cold and then pain in the knee.

2 days of icing and refusal to go to hospital. Physio checked yesterday and thankfully its not (doesnt seem to be) the ACL. MEdial Collateral Ligament, running down inside of right knee from bottom of femur to top of tibia. probably bad grade 2 or a grade 3 tear.

out for 6 weeks, just as id broken back into the squad and gotten some fitness back, feels like everytime i get up, life kicks me in the teeth again!!

anyway, anyone else here done similiar injury? Physio reckons 6 weeks til i can run painfree again 8 til i can train. but i will hopefully get on a bike in the next 2 weeks, very worried about the quad wasting away though so im walking at the minute and will walk as much as possible until i get fit enough to do some light cycling. I was told walking is fine as i can weight bear. wearing a flexible brace for the next couple weeks too.

    :(
