Is it just me, or do the normal users annoy anyone else*, the majority of them seem to be stuck so far up their own arses it's unreal**. Ahhhhh, is it a pure average thing to be a normal user, and not a super special internet class uber-important power poster on a big fat shiny bulletin board? Is is something we should all thrive*** to be?




*For a given value of 'anyone' meaning only other mods, cat mods, super mods and admins, because of course only their opinions count.
**For a given value of 'unreal', meaning 'to be expected from the lowest caste'.
***For a given value of 'thrive', meaning 'I didn't realise it was supposed to be 'strive'.

Woo a response to the no moderators thread... Honestly I've never had any real problems with moderators, got me arse kicked a couple of times, but I probably deserved it. Its just boards, folks, lets keep a sense of perspective here.

I'm not racist but these ordinary users tend to have unconformist ideas that are not part of our heritage and tradition here on boards.ie. I have heard of some of the normal users of boards being displaced by these blow ins and I think its time we had some form of immigration control in place to stop boards being taken over by goobags !!

I so agree Gandy old chum, these people are exploiting our friendly nature and ruining my boards.ie experience. Remember the good old days when there weren't so many plebs. And how many of them have replaced good decent boards moderators because they don't ask for our decent wage.

We need to select only the brightest and best newcomers to our fair land. Preferably white users, with boobs...

I remember the days on boards when you could leave a thread unlocked without the fear that some foreign gurrier would come along and slap a bebo link in it or when the users were polite to you and accepted your authority, but these days they complain about everything and expect access to be handed to them on a plate. I remember when you had to know morse code if you wanted to use the internet. Try signing your posts in hexidecimel and then see how easy things were.

FFS if I wanted to post I had to build my PC out of Valves and then connect it directly up to the mains and get electrocuted every time I replied to a thread. They have it easy the great unwashed, no respect, no sense of history.........they stole aaar postcount!

I have come to see boards over the years change.
2 from the years I browsed and 2 from the years I am registered.
As far as I can see, a lot of people have come to think that they own the place.
They think that they can say what they like and if no one else likes it, well then they can fook off.
If we as higher powered people step in to keep the peace in certain instances, we then get told how to do our jobs by the normal user who is so far stuck up their anus they forgot what day it is to collect the dole.

We have a fcuking job to do at the end of the day.
For some low life asshole to who has only arrived 3 months ago to tell me the law of the land on how they shouldnt be told this is what you should do, no bad language, your breaking the charter, etc and then complain to an admin about how I shouldnt of banned them is fcuking unreal.

We run the place behind the scenes, not normal people.

Seeing that the vb code has the mods in a super superior grouping then the regular ( regular pff they wish if they were they would be less full of shit and so anally retentive ) posters.

So surely it would be possible to deny them posting acess to certain sections,
they could read but never comment, or better yet an ignore all button for them.

This may have merit I propose we discuss this futher in the mod channel in irc.
