Car accident

My friend had a car accident yesterday. She's fine but the car is totalled. She was on her way to work. No other car was involved and the car slid on a wet road.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows if she can claim off work because she was on her way there.
Alot of people have said that they have skidded in the exact same place so i am wondering if the state of the road (ie county council) is to blame.
FYI there are no 'sharp corner signs' or 'slippy when wet' signs and the road is of poor state.

    Can anyone help?

Sorry but I'm new to board.ie. What exactly is the charter? Is there a legal advise forum?
I thought there would be people who could advise me from their experience on this forum.

The Legal Discussion forum (Not this sub-forum, which was intended for other purposes.)

BarbieQ, it's cool. For several reasons, legal advice cannot be provided by members. However, (hypothetical) discussion is welcome.
    Please read http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2054893130 & http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2054891512

    Good luck!

    No there isn't.

What has this accident got to do with work?

That's what i'm wondering? We were told that because she was on her way to work that it may be included in her work insurance.

    Very unlikely IMO.

    Who told you it was?

A few people said it. I just want to know where she stands once she back to work.

Lol, so instead of blaming the dosy bitch driving the car ye want to try and blame the state of the road or even her workplace. that is the most funniest thing ive read in a while. Shes gonna go up to her boss and say, hi, im a retard that wrote my car off because i cant drive on bad roads in the rain and want you to pay. Lol, women drivers

Please don't flame this forum. :)

BabieQ, I'm afraid you need to read the charter before posting in here because legal advice cannot be sought in this forum (or on this site). It's really not a good idea to seek legal advice on the internet at all.

However, if you read the charter, and re-word your opening post, then PM me and we'll sort something out.
