When I was young :rolleyes: we didn't have calculators. We had to learn off our tables, our rules of precedence, how to handle brackets…

Tar Aldarion is right. No need for equations of motion here. All that's needed to get started is to know that distance = speedxtime, or a rearrangement of this, known to every child leaving Primary school.
