    Hi,

just got NTL digital yesterday and I want to use an alternative DVB-C receiver (Dreambox 7025, twin receiver one for sat and the second for DVB-C).

When I insert the smartcard into the Dreambox it won't find any channels.

Is the NTL Smartcard bound to the NTL receiver or should it be possible to use it in an alternative receiver?

With other words: Will it work or do I have to use the crappy NTL receiver?

    Regards,
    jow

You have to use the ntl: reciever for digital reception.

If you want to use cable, you must use the provided digital receiver.

If you don't like it, cancel and use satellite/terrestrial where you are allowed to use your own receiver.
