One arm snatch

Anyone doing these? I have been doing them for a while now and although i'm not very good at them or using much weight I find they are a very enjoyable and satisfying exercise. They are quite technical though and often i don't get the timing or form quite right. But when I do the weight really does seem to fly upwards.

I reckon that since I started doing one arm snatches the power of my golf swing has improved, onlookers say I have the fastest downswing they've ever seen yet I am not conscious of this. I do other exercises as well which may help the golf swing so I can't say how much is due to the snatches. All I know is I am hitting the ball a long way and further than before.

I do them with a 5 foot barbell and can mange 41 kg with my right hand or 43.5 with my left. Dumbbells are supposed to be easier I prefer the barbell myself. Looks cooler too :)

Yeah i do them too love them as well. Never tried them with bb's as there's not really enough room to be swinging bb's around where i train sweet lift though.

For just increasing general power its better to do them from the hang position as then you don't ahve to do the double knee bend so it makes it a bit less technical. As you said get em right and the weight literally does just fly up.
