    hey all,

I've recently made a comeback to the gym for the main purpose of losing some weight, i'm looking to lose about 1.5 - 2 stone.
I've mainly doing cardio (bike and threadmill) and was wondering if i should start doing some weight training....will weight training help me lose some fat as much as cardio?.

Is it best to combine the two in each workout, or should i do cardio one day, weight training the next?

    any advice appreciated.

yes as it will build up your lean body mass, and muscle will burn more calories even at rest so will help increase the old metabolism

keep them on seperate days and with the weights try and keep it to free weights as oppose to machines and try and do compound lifts as much as possible, so squats, thrusters, dead lifts, bench, dips, pull ups, chins etc

Diet is going to be the most important thing to weight loss so make sure that it is in check first
