Does anyone know of a car mechanic familiar with Rover cars in the Galway city area to inspect a Rover I'm interested in buying?

Bradleys were the main dealers up until about 2 years before Rover disappeared, with Excelsior having the franchise for the last 2 years.

Any of the mechanics from either should be proficient enough to give a car the once over.

What type of Rover are you looking at?

    Thanks. A Rover 25.

There are often ads in the Galway Advertiser for mechanics who inspect cars - have a look. If its a basic 'has it been crashed/clocked/messed with' check you want and the car is in the city, I'll check it for you, but I'm not a mechanic.

Thanks, I'm getting Bradleys to inspect it. they'll have all the diagnostics and a familiarity with the model.

Chances are that they sold the car in the first place and did some of the servicing if it's a G reg car.

And I can recommend their service from personal experience.

Can't comment on Bradleys as ive had no experience with them, but like Interceptor i'd take a look at it for you if you wish

I'm not a mechanic but have owned a 214 for 3 years, can give engine/gearbox the once over for you for a pint bottle of bulmers ;)

Thanks, a few good souls frequent this forum.

I booked Bradleys yesterday and they are only going to charge €60 + VAT so I'm happy enough to go with them.
