tips to start of?

    A google search brought me here so - hello :)

    I'm a 16 year old guy, im about 1.65m/5foot4 and about 9.5stone/60kg

    i wouldn't say im like "obese" but i deff not thin:(

    its just like stomach fat that goes out (like it doesnt flop down) and there is a bit of fat around my breast area, <--- the fat i REALLY want to loose, as you can sort of make it out around clothes :(

    first of, i don't snack on crisps, chocolate, coke, the worst thing i probaly eat, is pizza (mabye once a week?) i very rarley go to MacDonalds etc...

    its just that i don't exercise much..

    i just have a few questions:

    - is it even possible to loose all the stomach/breast fast so im "flat"? or is that not possible? - muscles aren't that important, i just want to shake the fat of first!

    - Running/jogging is somthing i know i should take it, but for how long a day etc?

    - i eat 3 meals a day, breakfast - Cereal (special K) - school lunch - usalay chicken/meet and some veg/patatoes and dinner - chicken/fish/meet veg etc.. all average sizes.. i can't do the 4-6 meals a day thing as im in school 8-4 and cant eat there! so basiclly what should/amount i eat?

    - I cycle to and from school, so i'd like to use that as a workout to.. is it a good way?

    - idealy, i would love to loose most of the weight/fat before the Summer... again is that possible?

    Estimate #1 based on height and weight
    Your "Ponderal Index" is 12.54 which gives an estimated body fat of 22.9% (30.4 pounds of fat)
    I wouldn't call that obese tbh.

    Cardio, cardio and more cardio. Use the search function to help you with this.

    Post up your full diet, if you can.

    And there-in lies your problem. Do you play any sports at all now? What sport can you do withg your school?

    You can't lose fat in just one or two places - aim to loose bodyfat allover (others on the forum can help you further with this.

    Yes, you could use this as a part of your cardio. What's the distance to your school by the way?

    By cardio what do you mean?:p

    My diet:

    Breakfast: Either a bowl or cereal of special K if i have time, or just wate ( i no, bad!)

    lunch: usally pasta,chicken,some meat, veg, salad. not very big portians.. average.

    dinner: chicken/meat/fish/pasta , veg + sallad

    mabey a glass a milk sometime between dinner and when i fall asleep!



    re:sport

    in TY so its kinda mixed - untill november im doing Kick Boxing, then in March im doing Judo.. a bit of hockey in there somewhere!

    its about a 10-15 min bike ride, not much but its still somthing!

    Get rid of the special K. Its a load of ****.

    Start having porridge for breakfest. It will fill you up aload more and give you plenty of energy. Dont skip breakfest. Most important meal of the day.

    You should have 5 or 6 small meals everyday. Having just 3 meals will mean some of the food is stored as fat in your body. You should have one small break and a big break in school? You should be able to have 2 meals in their. Small break cant just be a pint of a milk(low fat) and a banana even.

    The best cardio for losing weight is doing it at an incline and at about 70% of your maximum heart rate.

    Doing weight/building up muscle will help with your metablism. If you dont have any weights/access to a gym do it with your body. Push ups, dips, sit ups, squats, lunges etc.
