Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ku Klux Klan in Bagenalstown?

'Ku Klux Klan' sightings in Bagenalstown

There were fears that things had taken a sinister turn in Bagenalstown following reports of people in white Ku Klux Klan-type robes roaming the streets.

There had been reports from concerned locals that three people in white robes had been seen in the vicinity of the Fairgreen and St. Mary's Church. They were also spotted at the Mill near Rea's Lough.

Nobody who spoke to The Carlow People wanted to be identified but said it was a very alarming development. However on Friday, a Garda spokesperson said there was absolutely no truth in the Ku Klux Klan rumour and said it was simply a case of 'three eegits' attempting to break into a disused factory. She said they were wearing white overalls 'for a skit' and had simply run down the street dressed in the garments prompting fears that the Ku Klux Klan were getting a foothold in Bagenalstown.
