sore arms

I started in the Gym on Saturday and am getting on well. On Sunday night I was out on a session in one of the lad's houses, and we had a competition: who could do the most reps with a 10Kg dumbell. I won with 160, on each arm, but my joints are very sore now.

I tried with a 10Kg today and yerterday in the gym and all I could do was 30. it hurts to fully extend my arm. I think it's because I never did dumbells properly, all I worked on before was the upper bicep, now I am working on the whole thing and it is there that hurts, so it might be because I am using that muscle a lot, whereas I didn't really use it before. Otherwise it could be because I pulled a muscle, but it doesn't really feel like that.

does anyone know what could be wrong?

I think you overdid it and your arms are telling you they need a rest for a few days.
