I had the same crap last week man, first up, get some ibuprofen into you.

Try hitting the gym, you'll know yourself if you can continue on.

I've been in that quandary a few times and the best option is generally to take a break. A doctor once gave me some good general health advice: "Listen to your body." If you're sick, your body is telling you it needs rest. Going to the gym could make you even worse.

If you must, I believe low intensity cardio is the way to go.

Give it a miss. Your body will need to rest to help get your better. Working out will just drain you more and will b harder for your body to fit the flu.

You should not go to the gym while sick, you'll probably be spreading your germs thru sweat and breathing heavy making other people sick as their immune systems are lower from working out.

Just to add to what others have said..

Your body is trying to clear an infection. Ignoring your body and adding a chemical on top will only lead to a longer infection lasting many days longer.

Based on experience, complete rest & good nutrition (eat light, fruit & veg) are the only way to efficiently clear (not postpone) illness.
When you're in the gym, your damaging tissue for your body to build it stronger. It more or less an immune response and will compete with all others.

When you're sure you're over it, you'll be ready.. Let us know how you get on either way
