    Hi,

I found Anita Bean's 'Strength training for beginners' a good read. Plenty of clear pictures with instructions and a diet guide also.
I think you'll find it in Easons.

Also some of the magazines are really good for beginners tip etc, try musclemag - the latest edition is just out, again in Easons or any good shop

    Just check out www.t-nation.com

Muscle RAG i would not recommend as its filled with ads and the usual articles on how bodybuilders eat and train (supposedly).

Ultrafit magazine is good for those looking for an all round approach

Well he was looking for pictures of how some lefts are done, the mag has these. If it details how somebody builders eat well thats a plus too.. as for adds.. apart from them letting you know whats available on the market, advertising is everywhere nowadays so it doesn't bother most - certainly not me. I enjoy the read.
