Internet connection with USB modem

I can't seem to figure out how to get online with Ubuntu and a SAGEM fast 800 E2L USB ADSL modem. AFAICT, I have installed the right drivers/modules (eagle_usb) but don't know what to do next. This is the frist time I've ever tried to use an ADSL connection strangely enough, so much more complicated than cable or optic…
