Soccer Team Boards.ie needs a crest too!

In light of the other post in here about the newly founded Boards.ie Soccer team, we could do with a crest too.

Something like other football team's crests, simple, but getting the point accross. Perhaps incorporating the Boards.ie 'motto' : "Now yer talkin..."

Again, maybe using the Boards.ie colours would be nice.

I don't know about a prize though...that's KdjaC's domain.

I actually think the O in boards would make a really cool looking crest. It's very simple I know, but it would look pretty cool.

Boards.ie will be the name on the crest.

Team name in league may be different, but irrelevant to the crest.

Prizes from other stupid competition carry over here

I'm just in from the pub (kd's pro evo competition in McDowell's and more) and I've had a go at throwing something together. Any thoughts on this design? Obviously some of you folks with the right equipment could clean up the design, but this is the general idea.

Just one thing though, if this is going to be a crest it's most likely going to be embroidered or not be able to be printed as well as your monitor can display an image;) so the 3d effects will probaly have to be gotten rid of

Oh I would assume so unless they are being directly printed on or something.

edit: effects can be easily removed, clarification from KdjaCL or seansouth..guys any idea how these will be printed?

The old skool you refer to are some in jokes on the site Atari Jaguar being a mock reference to any poll ever posted here.

One of the admins asked could the eyes in the O be in the name.

If it's gonna get embroidered onto the jerseys it can't have blended colours or drop shadows etc.

Design it as a vector so you can resize it with ease.
