Hi everyone. I'm just wondering if anyone can recommend a good workout dvd/video. I know that every celebrity on the planet has released one at this stage, but I just want one that works on just overall toning for women - nothing spectacular. I can't afford the gym, so the sitting room will have to suffice for now. Any suggestions would be very welcome. Tx.

    Hi Weeshie,

I would highly recommend the Charlie Brooks Before and After Dvd.

It's a great DVD. There are 5 sections to it that take around 10mins each.

Section 1: Is a warm up.
Section 2: Is a disco section which is lots of exercising dance moves.
Section 3: Is called the combat section which works on your upper body.
Section 4: Is called high intensity for a reason. This concentrates on your lower body with lots of squats and lunges. Your muscles will ache the following day.
Section 5: Is a mini pilates section which works on your middle (core) area. It really makes a difference to the tummy area. You can feel it working as you're doing it.

If you've taken any aerobics classes in the past you'll find it very easy to pick up the steps but if you haven't it'll take you a little longer to pick them up.

I found the DVD great as the sections aren't so long that you want to switch it off. I've often found that one section was over before I knew it. Also, there isn't too many of them to be dealing with. Also, you don't need any extra equipment to do this DVD and it also doesn't need you to have acres of room. With it's help and watching what I eat I've managed to 19pounds.
    Best of luck with it,
    A.

Thanks a mill A! I'll give it a go and see how I get on. For €20 I've nothing to lose. Its been a few years since I've "bounced" around an aerobics studio but I'm sure it's like riding the old proverbial!!! After Amazon, I'd say my next web stop will be figleaves.com for a good sports bra. :D All the best, S
