fat around my middle

i was just wondering if anyone has any ideas about how to shift weight from my middle, i have an apple shape body. all my weight is around my stomach and waist, is there anything i shouldnt eat? i go to the gym regularly and do maybe 30 -40 mins on the treadmill (powerwalking and jogging- im knackered by the end) and then weights and stuff for my arms, i also do sit-ups for my stomach, but i know this tones the muscles underneath but i need to get rid of the fat before anyone can see my toned stomach, i think my shape is kinda hereditary, my gran and mum are the same. i also try and swim 2-3 times a week too.
any ideas would be helpful, im only a size 12 but all my weight jst seems to go on my middle and ive noticed that my legs really tone up when i use the gym, so im left with toned skinny legs (which there was nothing wrong with in the first place) and my middle stays the same.
i really would appreciate any advice given, ive a wedding in 2 months and im gonna need to gat something to wear

cut out white bread (try yeast free bread) , potatoes, dairy products and red meat..these are the major weight gainers obviously apart from junk/fry food..

Dave's right, it's all about diet. Post your diet and then we can comment on where you need to work on it.

dont cut out the red meat completely. Especially since you are a woman, if you do, take Iron supplements.

ive really tried to clean my diet up the past 6-8 weeks, in the morning i have cereal usually weetabix or museli (with no added sugar) and skimmed milk, sometimes with pineapple on top. mid morning i will have a cup of tea sometimes with an apple. lunch is usually a sandwich- ham, tuna with salad or the like and a yoghurt and maybe another piece of fruit, mid afternnon yoghurt and then dinner which is usually around 7-7.30 after the gym varies from tuna steak (done in the oven) and salad to baked potato with cheese or beans or maybe sweet and sour chicken with brown rice. at the weekends i might have a chinese or pizza but not every weekend, maybe every other weekend (sometimes not even that). i try and drink 2 litres of water a day and in the evenings when i come home i might have tea and another biscuit, i go the gym 3-4 times a week and walk to work (half an hr walk) about 2 times a week. i also like to juice fruit and make my own smoothies but again i dont add too much yoghurt

and have you lost weight in that 6-8 weeks period..
if so don't worry..it takes longer to lose it from the stomach..try swimming as well..very good for overall body toning..
