M+S Healthy Balance meals

I realise they're not cheap, but some of the Marks and Spencer ready made meals from the Healthy Balance range are pretty good... over 30gs protein, mostly complex carbs, no trans fats, generally low fat (particular low sat fat), high in fibre and they taste good. They generally contain leafy greens too.

Any opinions on them? anyone else try them?

There was a write up comparing 5 or 6 of those ready made meals in Monday's (15 Aug) Irish Times.

M&S came last in quality - well behind all the others.

that suprises me, i've generally found them to be much better than Tescos or other brands. I guess there's no accounting for taste!

surprises me too, was on a diet a while ago and found these more like "real food" as opposed to weightwatchers meals which in my opinion are salted cardboard. I thought they had a good range which catered to everything.

A lot goes into their marketing, yeah the food is ok, but it's very expensive for what you actually get.

They're about as healthy as fried chees on a stick IMO
