Irish Poker Cup Last Longer

Time to put aside your county preferences and nominate who you think will win this event. Same rules as the WSOP last longest. Except whichever county wins the title is the winner. $20 per pick [Even though Ste05 is still waiting to be paid by me :-)]

Only one other rule if you're playing you have to nominate a County other than your own.

As I'm playing for Mayo I nominate

    Antrim.

Once we have a list of all the boardsie's playing we could do the same for that as well...

    Heck why not:

I nominate De Vore. He's so bad Variance dictates that he must get a result soon
{god I love throwing my money away.]

    Zippin' up my boots,
    Goin' back to my roots,
    Yeah,
Take the place of my birth,
    Back down to earth.

Best way is to see who wins at the end of the day. I still owe $20 to Ste05 which I should be able to transfer via stars. So hold on to your cash for now.

i think hectorjelly is due a large win offline. so HJ for the individual bet, and cork for the county.. if that makes sense?

I think the last-longest has to be a boards poster. Could be wrong.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 189 ✭✭The Gecko

I will take NTLBell for some strange reason, I think he can concentrate on this for more then 30mins:)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,924 ✭✭✭Fatboydim

same as the WSOP last longest lenny. So Ste05 won that choosing Alan Cunningham. Therefore Flushdraw can have Paul Lecky. [And a good choice too I might add. Paul always runs well in Pokerevents run tournies cashing in both of the racing festival fos.]

i'm on the Longford team, and i back Annette's SLIGO to win it !!! They'll be there or there abouts !!

  • Business & Finance Moderators, Entertainment Moderators Posts: 32,387 Mod ✭✭✭✭DeVore

ngggh.... On the last longest personal bet I am torn between Oscar, HJ, FBD and believe or not Connie from Kerry who's game has improved greatly imho and more then that seems to constantly question and requestion hands and strategies which is something I think the best players always do.

I'm going to return the compliment and pick FBD in some horrific mutual dick-sucking exercise... However I dont hold nearly as much hope for his county team and I think I'll go with Cork for the county last longest.

I thought it was an open draw, keeping it in the family would be a better idea alright! I'll take Mr.Charisma then....PPP special

I'll take Derry then provided they field a full team.

Believe it or not I posted that before the odds were posted!! Weird huh? I was talking to Mick McCluskey over the weekend in Cork and he told me their team which seems strong alright.
I'll be having a punt on Antrim at those odds too...

    Len,

if the last longest is open the all players (boardsies or not) then i dont wanna upset DM but i picked Paul Leckey first so i'll put my hard earned money on him.

our blow in team are second favourites woohoo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,924 ✭✭✭Fatboydim

I know the prices were taken from the Pokerevents forum... But who is actually offering these prices?

Galway 8/1 with Fintan in the team and Pat?

Mayo 20/1 Surely we should be a bigger price than that.:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,448 ✭✭✭Lazare

Len, if it's a boardsie only last longer, I'll take Mr. Ollie Boyce, thank you very much.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,467 ✭✭✭Norwich Fan Rob

no way Laois should be 20/1, can u actually get a bet on at those prices are are they just someone putting them up for the craic?

I'd back Wicklow at 12/1 and Laois (my team) at 20/1.

We have 4 very steady Fitz regulars in our team, a couple with Irish open experience, all of whom are good at lasting long in these types of events, along with Action Jackson who was 2nd in Monte Carlo and would have to be one of the top players there, and me whose last 3 multis have been 51st out of 5,844 in the stars million, 129th out of 8873 in vegas and a win last night in the Fitz.
