I came accross this site yesterday while trying to source cheap (now know they dont exist) Heelys.

These are nicer than Heelys (IMO) and work out at under €50 delivered. UK based but warehouse is in Dublin, apparently.

Cant comment on the site or the 'CruzShuz' yet, but we did order two pairs last night, so will post comments when they arrive.

Will these things not cripple a childs feet/legs after a while of constant use? Whatever happened to good ol' tyme walking....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 925 ✭✭✭wideangle

There was a incident somewhere in the country of a customer being knocked too the floor by wheelie wearing child,so their use is banned. You'll just get asked to walk in them rather than roll.

    THEY ARE AN INSURANCE RISK.

Mod edit-If you have nothing better to contribute, don't bother. I'm sure the user is aware if they have any issues. "Somewhere" in the country...

The 'CruzShuz' arrived in the post yesterday. Exactly 1 week after ordering.

Everyone is delighted with them. Quality seems to be fine. Neighbours & relations are going mad looking for the website address.

They come with moulded inserts for the soles, should you wish to remove the wheels.....for the weekly shop in Dunnes for example....LOL

They have a Irish web page too but it's under construction....

fdevine, how much was the delivery on the 2 pairs you bought?
    Cheers :p

We ordered 2 pairs, and the total came to €95.10

    (stg £26.99 each + P&P stg £8.50 = stg £62.48)

fdevine, sorry to be a pain... was just about to order and noticed in the size coversion chart , it says dont order a size larger... Did you order yours in a size larger? What would you recommend in your opinion as I heard with the heelys this should be the case. Cheers matey

I don't suppose they have a version in respectable black office wear shoes?
    ¬_¬

    @ silverY

We ordered a Size 2 instead of a Size 1 purely because they didnt have the Size 1 in stock.

Since they're basically trainers they can be tightened more than if they were regular shoes. Plus, with a child, its not going to be long before they grow into them. IMO its better to get slightly too big than potentially too small.

    Hope thats some help.

Sorry to hear about the difficulties you are having. Wasnt aware that the site had gone offline.

Only consolation, if you can call it that, is that if you paid via PayPal, you should be covered in the event of you not getting what you ordered.

My PayPal receipt gave the following details; Company name and presumably the name of the guy running the site.

    Maverick Imports (daveellis86@hotmail.co.uk)

    Hope thats some help.

    Hi disgruntled mum

I ordered two pairs of Cruzshuz last Tuesday evening. The first pair arrived yesterday and the second today, so I'm sure yours will be delivered this week.

They look great. Haven't shown the kids yet - waiting for them to come home from school. They saved up themselves for them and have been asking every day if they've arrived. Got a bit of a shock this morning when I discovered the website had been closed down, then found this forum, and an hour later the second pair were delivered. Phhheww!

Thanks SuperMum, I ordered mine Wednesday so I'll keep my fingers crossed. They have been completely removed from Ebay, even the secondhand ones and a local skate retailer here in Manchester reported that he'd heard that those responsible for Cruzshuz were being pursued to the courts by Heelys for breach of their patent....They still seem to be on sale in Australia though.

Wish I'd ordered them last week !!!!! Thanks for all the comments and the info from Disgruntledmum. Looks like we will have to pay loads more and get Heelys not from this country though, far too expensive.

I bought two pairs in June for my kids. One week after purchase checked website and stated that due to legal action from Heelys, they had ceased trading and orders received would be despatched. I also emailed paypal receiver and he emailed to confirm I would definitely get - after 4 weeks I finally got them.

Just happened to look at the site again on Sunday 3/9/06 and noticed trading again so tried to order for a friend on Tuesday 5/9/06 and notice said site closed. Do not understand why this has happened again - although doesn't mention legal action this time. Good luck to those who are waiting but I am sure you will receive your order.

DVGLEISURE were selling these roller shoes on ebay for £27 including free extra wheels and laces and inclusive of post.I`ve spoken to them and I suppose for obvious reasons they have completely sold out but are expecting some new stock in around two to three weeks. Here is his email address douggee@btclick.com. and he is very helpful. It might pay you to register your interest because as he is the cheapest they sell very very quick.

are cheap enough for the real heelys if your buying more than one pair, for three pairs it worked out a €63.50 each including p+p, worth thinking about if you knew a few people that wanted them for xmas etc.!

I ordered two pairs last Friday from CruzshuzUK and they arrived today. So, no worries for those people who have ordered last few days. As the website says, all the orders have been dispatched.

    Cheers...
